Supreme Court green-lights Trump taxes to NY prosecution

A tough day in the courts for Trump, with more bad news for Donald's legal beagles to deliver:

Supreme Court won't hear GOP's Pennsylvania election challenge
The justices offered no public explanation for their rejection of the cases, but one member of the court dissented.

The U.S. Supreme Court has passed up yet another opportunity to wade into disputes over last year’s presidential election.

The justices on Monday declined to take up cases challenging a Pennsylvania state court decision that extended the ballot-receipt deadline in last November’s election by three days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former President Donald Trump and the Pennsylvania Republican Party were among those urging the justices to grant review of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling. Only about 10,000 ballots arrived during the three-day window, well short of the number that could have imperiled Joe Biden’s 80,555-vote victory in the Keystone state.

The justices offered no public explanation for their rejection of the cases, but one member of the court, Justice Clarence Thomas, dissented. He said the court should have granted review, even though the dispute was effectively moot, and he took a swipe at his colleagues for the decision to pass up the cases.

Oh, the tweeting he would do, if only there were tweeting that could be done.

Hey, but I thought he wasn't going to turn over tax returns until the in-progress 9-year IRS audit was completed. Could it possibly be that he was just telling us a story?:confused::confused:

Ooch! You just know that is going to be one hell of an audit.

Some lunatics here still think Merrick Garland is going to send Trump to jail for inciting an insurrection.

He lost.

Get over it.

;)

Exactly. At some point these idiots need to accept the fact that Trump is gone, there is no legal case for prosecuting Trump for inciting and insurrection, and Garland is not sending him to jail. He was acquitted by the Senate and that’s the end of the story.

Sure there is. He did it out in the open. All of your pretending isn't going to save your sleazy hero.

This thread is about Trump facing the music for tens of millions in tax and bank fraud, yes?

Incitement of an insurrection, sexual assault and harassment, and civil suits from Dominion are covered in other threads.

One never knows what perpetrators will attempt to deal in order to receive a lighter sentence.

Personally, I'd like to see Garland charge all Capital riot participants with felony murder... then let's all hear what they have to say... perhaps some even stashed away a little insurance for themselves.

Tax evasion...violating campaign finance laws...the numbers MUST agree or it is one or the other or both that were violated. Pretty fucking simple.

We actually don't know all of the reasoning behind NY's pursuit of trump's tax returns.

There is still a shoe to drop... NYS has an underage girl as a rape complaining witness against trump... NYS subsequently changed its law to abolish the statute of limitations on rape... NYS then raided Epstein's home and seized all computers, electronic devices, videos and images... and NYS has arrested and refused to allow Ghislaine Maxwell any bail on charges of child sex trafficking to Epstein, et al.
Single, isolated coincidences are one thing but I don't believe in stacked coincidences... and now all of a sudden, we have 36 year old Lindsay Boylan accusing 63 year old Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment... kissing her and offering her to play strip poker with him. Really? Strip poker... just the two of them? What's the point if it's just the two of them... just take off your clothes and fuck and skip the card game... strip poker is only fun if its a group. But we'll see.

In the meantime, since NYS charges were filed and evidence gathered... the fascist republicans have surely tried their best to sully Biden's reputation for touching a younger girl's hair in public 30 years ago and now an accusation against Cuomo. Surely feeds the fascist republican propaganda machine of "whataboutisms" if nothing else.

NY tax evasion case, Check:)

NYC Bank Fraud Case. Check:)

DC Incitement/Sedition Case. When will this be filed in Fed Court???

I watched trump incite the insurrection every day on TV from 11/3 to 1/6. He told wildly outlandish lies with the intent of overturning a free and fair election that he lost. The Senate's dereliction of duty is a completely different matter altogether.

Even Moscow Mitch acknowledges the truth f the matter:

Jan. 6th was a disgrace. American citizens attacked their own government. They used terrorism to try to stop a specific piece of democratic business they did not like.

Fellow Americans beat and bloodied our own police. They stormed the Senate floor. They tried to hunt down the Speaker of the House. They built a gallows and chanted about murdering the Vice President.

They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth — because he was angry he’d lost an election. Former President Trump’s actions preceding the riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty.

The House accused the former President of, quote, "incitement." That is a specific term from the criminal law. Let me put that to the side for one moment and reiterate something I said weeks ago: There is no question that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day.
