Rolling blackouts in effect. Lol
Because of the weather which is pretty shitty across a lot of Texas now.
Big difference from California, where idiot politicians make policy decisions forcing residents to swelter because they can't keep the lights on due to a planned lack of fossil fuel energy.
Arnold hated fossil fuels?
Where?
Arnold hasn't been governor in 10 years now.
(R)'s haven't controlled Sacramento in 25 years.
Try again sad partisan hack.(D)'s own every bit of what CA is right now.
That is the DNC's shining example...LOL

Teens. Fucking christ. We just had a week of -20s...real temps...we don't do wind chills in Wyoming. And we got somewhere near 18 inches of snow 3-4 inches at a time. Tell me...why does it take more power to heat a house than to cool it when it is 110? Piss poor planning.
Nah...it isn't about the physics of temp differentials. I have lived in places that lost power during the summer many times due to too much demand...but they never lose power in the winter and it can get ungodly cold. There is something else here. Maybe it is because so much of the country is under this cold and they can't steal it from elsewhereGreater temperature differential....I'm sure you know it.
It actually is really.like the pandemic...when you never see demand for certain things it just isn't built into planning at the govt and even the private sphere.
Even in the mid Atlantic and east.coast we have been hammered with snow and ice.
I feel for you and everyone....it isn't good especially after the last year... really, really sucks!

Electric furnaces and baseboard heaters are pigs on electricity. Probably a lot of heat pumps too. I would assume texas doesnt use a lot of oil or gas for heating.

Ok...I read up on it. The official statement is their infrastructure can't handle the demand. In other words...they pocketed profits instead of upgrading infrastructure. Some of the localities are using 1950s technology. This makes total sense now.
Have you ever even attempted to not be stupid and willfully ignorant? The blackouts happened under Arnold as well, Poor lil Dumb-Dumb. If anything, my post was to balance out the idiot's partisanship.
Also, The Terminator, a REPUBLICAN. was governor here just 10 years ago. Oh, wait... He's one of those Hollywood Republicans, or some other dumb name you make up.
Yes...it's a great place to live? I've never meet anyone who disliked it there... well, except one potted plant. Chuckles.
And what has the (D) controlled state legislature done to fix that in the last 25 years???
Or the last 10 years of (D) governance within those 25 years.
10 years of TOTAL control and y'all still got problems from the 90's.
Charging you mother fuckers a PREMIUM and giving you shit in return.![]()
