Yes, that was me. Like all states, Florida has had surges throughout the coarse of the past year. Despite minimizing lockdowns and avoiding the devastating measures taken by other states, and despite being a major tourist destination and having a disproportionately large senior population, the state’s Covid metrics are relatively pretty good. Certainly better than other populous states that took extreme measures such as NY and NJ. More importantly, it’s kids are in school and it’s economy is not in the toilet.

And yeah, they did a great job with the Super Bowl. Parties all week, fans in stands, a good time was had by all. Imagine if the game had been played in LA where it’s scheduled to be held next year. It would have sucked. No fans, no parties, no concerts. A real downer. And by the way, adjusting for age demographics, Florida is doing much better than CA in keeping its Covid numbers under control. It’s economy is doing much better too.

Rebekka Jones is a psycho. I wonder if Democrats and the media would have hailed her as a hero last summer if they knew then what we know now about her crazy history.

That simply isn't true. Despite having a similar population NY has had fewer infections than Florida. NY has had 1.54 million while Florida has 1.83 million infections.

There is no consistency in PCR scan level used by different labs in different states and countries so comparing cases is meaningless. The relevant metrics are hospitalizations and deaths. Check the deaths per million numbers.

Rebekah Jones is not a doctor or an epidemiologist, virologist, statistician, public health professional, or in any way an expert in infectious diseases. The Florida Department of Public Health employs experts in those fields to inform it’s Covid 19 tracking and reporting. Becky’s Masters degree is in geography and her job at Florida DoH was as the geographic information systems manager overseeing the Covid 19 web portal. She was a technical manager with no authority or expertise to decide how to assess, interpret, visualize, or report the data.

Her claims against Florida DoH surfaced after she was fired for insubordination. She was fired by Deputy Secretary of Health, a reputable epidemiologist with a doctorate in public health. Emails have proven those claims to be false. Investigations by local media outlets like the Tallahassee Capitolist, Alucha Chronicle, and University of Florida Fresh Take have revealed her lies.

Becky has held three jobs in her field. All three resulted in her being terminated and criminally charged. After getting fired from a job LSU, she was arrested for trespassing and attempting to steal computer equipment.

In one pending case, she is charged with cyberstalking one of her former FSU students who fathered her child while was married to someone else. She posted revenge porn material on social media and emailed materials to his employer, parents, and others. She harassed his mother, vandalized his car, and threatened his roommate. She even wrote a 342 page manifesto expressing her outrage at the guy for ending the relationship. A real sweetheart. Can you spell PSYCHO?

Now she facing a felony charge for breaching a government computer system. Kudos to the Florida Department of Health and Governor DeSantis for ridding this nut job from the state payroll.
