The Muse
A poem by Michael Faudet
Body framed
With arms outstretched,
Wrists roped,
And roughly bound.
From a tiny mouth,
And pretty lips,
You utter
Not a sound.
I paint with words,
A canvas stretched,
Laid bare
Upon the ground.
