So if Russia "meddled" in elections in 2016, did they in 2020?

Yes they did and their lackeys in the Ukraine have been sanctioned for it. Try and keep up.

A sign of great intellect?

They were on Russia’s side, and not on America’s side, dumbass.

Why do you and those that share your philosophy resort to calling names? Do you believe that it is a sign of great intellect if you call people that disagree with you a "dumbass"? Or is it just that you want to silence any thoughts that are outside the echo chamber? I only ask because if it is to generate the illusion that you are of superior intellect you might want to reconsider your approach. Many people associate name calling with bullies on the playground of an elementary school.

My greater concern is that it creates an environment in which a meaningful exchange of thoughts is suffocated. Of course the leftist around the world are famous for that approach. So if that is your goal then by all means... let me know what a dumbass you think I am and I will politely keep my assessment of your intellect to myself.;)

I agree with you . . . well said. Name-calling is an attempt at bullying and is never mature, intellectual or effective.

However, I think using labels that the bullies typically use here (and elsewhere) like "leftists" is pejorative as well and especially the manner in which you used it. Diluted your entirely wonderful point a bit for me.

Leaders of the terrorist group that attacked the Capitol last week received large bitcoin payments from a foreign entity just before. Interesting, no?

Of course the Russians meddled. Their chief asset made a speech instructing the rioters to attack the Capitol.

Yes...you actually are asking a good question.

The Russian and others meddle all the time and they actually have achieved what they set out to do.

They are creating a Climate of mistrust...it doesn't matter what side at all. All they have to do is sow seeds of doubt(on social media) and play it out by creating fake news stories or by impersonating people....on either side, sometimes on no one's side.

They have been doing this for hundreds of years and are masters at it.

They don't have much ability directly to influence actual voting(ballots or voting machines) mostly because we have 50 states, a very decentralized voting system and much of it still on paper ballots. Where voting machines are used they are not connected out to the internet. The danger there is software potentially getting interfaced or download and again, it is not so easy because of how decentralized the whole system in it's entirety is.

The basic mistake both political parties are making is they try to use Russia meddling to their own advantage.

Both dominant parties and everyone else are failing because we are not united about this issue.

They are very successful because they have us fight among ourselves.

I can cite a few examples later...I've got to look them up for their links.

Payments in bitcoin worth more than $US500,000 ($642,300) were made to 22 different virtual wallets, most of them belonging to far-right activists and internet personalities, before the storming of the US Capitol, cryptocurrency compliance startup Chainalysis said on Friday.

The payments, made by a French donor, of 28.15 bitcoins were made on December 8, the New York-based startup, specialising in countering money laundering and fraud in the digital currency space, said in a blog post.

Well.

Is IS something they do..It's kind of expected along with several other countries if and when they can.
