This is an interesting one. Chances were good that Trump's plan was to retreat to his Turnberry golf course on January 19th (the flight plan of Air Force 2). but Scotland has told him he isn't welcome. Would he arrive anyway? What are his other possibilities?

His passport should be confiscated and he should be ordered not to leave the country. He should also be under constants surveillance. These conditions should be in place until all of his legal entanglements are resolved.

Should, yes, but it's not going to happen that fast. It's sort of ironic that the pandemic, which highlighted his incompetence and uncaring and has contributed heavily to his unraveling, is probably going to severely limit his choices for an immediate post-job "vacation." I don't see him making it from the airport to Trump Tower if he choses to go back to New York, and he has lots of problems going back to Mar-A-Lago too. He faces a "no residence" contract there, the place is on the cusp of being closed down or losing its liquor license because of the super spreader New Years Eve party there, and he neither likes the renovations that have been done there or has been able as yet to find an appropriate house nearby. I don't think there are living quarters at either his Northern Virginia or New Jersey golf courses. He may have to start off at his hotel just down the street from the White House, and he's in trouble over that property as well.
He owns a huge house not far from where I live--Albemarle House--at his winery northwest of Charlottesville (which nominally was given over to Eric). It's a boutique hotel now but no one is going there. He tried to put in a golf course, but the well-heeled neighbors in the surrounding plantation area (earlier residents were Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. More recently, Dave Matthews, who has a winery nearby) scotched that attempt. I'd really hate to see him show up there in residence. It's hard enough to have Eric there.

Actually she would. There are provisions to keep out people that are detrimental to the safety or good order of the country. It's why the likes of Louis Farakhan were denied entry.
