Trump buried for whining Melania didn't get enough fashion magazine covers -- as he sits on COVID aid bill

With all that is going on in the U.S. during Christmas week -- COVID-19 infections on the rise, a desperately needed COVID-related aid package being held hostage by the president, extended unemployment insurance about to run out, families facing evictions -- Donald Trump took time out from his busy holiday vacation at Mar-a-Lago to complain that his wife Melania didn't get fashion magazine cover stories he feels she deserves.

Linking to a tweet from right-wing Breitbart, that read, "The elitist snobs in the fashion press have kept the most elegant First Lady in American history off the covers of their magazines for 4 consecutive years," the preside t added "The greatest of all time" by which he presumably meant the first lady, before adding the requisite "Fake news!"

Trump, the losing loser who lost the election has lost law suits 1-60+ now falls back on frivolity as the nation dies a slow death. MAGA!

Trump is walking away from his COVID deal to create drama like a 'game show host'

On CNN Saturday, New York journalist and podcaster Errol Louis suggested that outgoing President Donald Trump is treating the current round of COVID-19 stimulus negotiations like an episode of "The Apprentice."

"What's going on, Jon, is the very thing that the president wanted, which is chaos," said Louis. "He lost the election, and is now reverting to his prior businesses as a commercial operator and a game show host, which you kind of at the last minute walk away from the deal or threaten to blow up the deal, even if it's one that you yourself negotiated. That is what he's doing. So Donald Trump gets the number one thing that he wants, which is all of us asking what is it that Donald Trump wants."

Trump wants headlines, unfortunately his headline are less than encouraging. :)

Speaking of headlines:

Donald Trump is a dull, nasty and childish man — but his legacy of amazing idiocy will be long remembered

We're tentatively starting to emerge from the four year-long national nightmare of Donald Trump's presidency, but the reckoning of what the nation endured will take years to really understand. Trump was terrible in so many ways that it's hard to catalog them all: His sociopathic lack of regard for others. His towering narcissism. His utter ease with lying. His cruelty and sadism. The glee he took in cheating and stomping on anything good and decent. His misogyny and racism. His love of encouraging violence, only equaled by his personal cowardice.

But of all the repulsive character traits in a man so wholly lacking in any redeemable qualities, perhaps the most perplexing to his opponents was Trump's incredible stupidity. On one hand, it was maddening that a man so painfully dumb, a man who clearly could barely read — even on those rare occasions when he deigned to wear glasses — still had the low cunning necessary to take over the Republican Party and then the White House.

On the other hand, it was the one aspect of Trump's personality that kept hope alive. Surely a man so stupid, his opponents believed, will one day blunder so badly he can't be saved, even by his most powerful sycophants. That has proved to be the case as Trump fumbles his way through a failed coup, unable and unwilling to see that stealing the election from Joe Biden is a lost cause.

Sort of unflattering, isn't it?:)

oh, look! Trump is picking another fight.

This might be why Melania is shunned before Christmas

"Who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration,."

"But I need to do it, right?"

UN hits Trump over Blackwater pardons, says move 'contributes to impunity'

Fox News|27 minutes ago

The United Nation's human rights office criticized President Trump this week for pardoning four Blackwater guards who had been convicted in connection with the killing of Iraqi civilians while working as contractors in 2007 -- claiming that the pardons contribute "to impunity.

Trump has descended into 'Crazy Town' as he trashes the GOP from Mar-a-Lago: ex-adviser

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Donald Trump supporter and former advisor Sam Nunberg stated that the president is alienating everyone around him during his final days as he rages at Mar-a-Lago about the 2020 presidential election results, saying he has turned the atmosphere around him into "Crazy Town."

With the president making the lives of Republicans miserable with his ever-changing COVID-19 aid package demands -- upping the ante on Saturday night by suggesting two $2000 payments for struggling Americans while Republicans had agreed to only $600 -- Trump insiders claim the president is furious about his election loss and still looking for a way to remain in office.

According to a source at the Mar-a-Lago resort, "The president spent much of the Christmas weekend [at Mar-a-Lago] talking about other Republicans who weren't doing what he wanted and acting like failures and defeatists," before adding Trump "was not finding much to be happy about this Christmas."

He said he was going to bring back coal, he just didn't expect it in his stockings!:)

President Grinch, after stealing Christmas, brought it back two days later.

House passes bipartisan bill to raise stimulus to $2000 — now it heads to the Senate

On Monday, the House of Representatives passed a bill expanding the stimulus payments on COVID-19 relief from $600 to $2,000.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where its fate is unclear; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has not supported increasing the size of direct payments, although he is under pressure as a result of the runoff elections in Georgia.

Mitch is in a crack now! Bernie is playing hardball and will hold Mitch to pass the $2,000 bill or not get anything else done! Bernie's opposition will keep the Senate in session keeping Ga Sens in DC not Georgia. What will Mitch do?

Kelly Loeffler comes out for $2,000 relief checks: 'I've stood by the president 100% of the time'

Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) on Tuesday revealed that she will vote for $2,000 relief payments to Americans because she supports President Donald Trump.

COVID stimulus has utterly repudiated Ronald Reagan's voodoo economics: Paul Krugman

...Krugman argued, by the passage of the CARES Act, which provided direct cash relief that helped to stem the tide of an economic and public health crisis — and the political debate surrounding a second wave of stimulus, where it is Republicans rather than Democrats who are divided on whether to give more. "The government was there to help, and it did," wrote Krugman.

"The lesson of 2020 is that in a crisis, and to some extent even in calmer times, the government can do a lot to improve people's lives," concluded Krugman. "And what we should fear most is a government that refuses to do its job."

Wall Street Journal warns Trump's push for $2,000 stimulus checks will cost GOP the Senate

With all eyes on the Senate as senators determine the fate of $2,000 direct payments to American workers, the Wall Street Journal is warning that the vote could cost Republicans the Senate.

The editorial board went on to note the consequences awaiting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), emphasizing the vote could impact the future of the Senate with Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler's (R-GA) seats on the line in the upcoming Georgia runoff.

"That leaves Mr. McConnell with a tough call of barring a vote as Democrats bang away in TV ads in Georgia against GOP incumbents David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler," the editorial writes. "Or he can hold a vote, which would split the GOP caucus and upset fiscally conservative voters."

Donors may not be so happy with Mitch?:)

"WASHINGTON (CN) — A federal appeals court has sided with more than a dozen members of Congress in their attempt to get their hands on details about the Trump Organization’s lease on the luxury hotel located in the capital’s historic Old Post Office building.

In an opinion released Tuesday morning, the D.C. Circuit held that the lawmakers have standing to pursue their case against the head of the General Services Administration.

In a complaint filed in Washington federal court in 2017, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee claimed President Trump has refused to divest his ownership interest in his namesake Washington hotel “even though the lease explicitly prohibits any ‘elected official of the government of the United States’ from taking or sharing in any benefit that ‘may arise’ from the lease.”"

WATCH: Senator nails McConnell for blocking $2,000 checks after supporting tax cuts for billionaires

Murphy spoke shortly after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) blocked an attempt by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass legislation to increase direct payments to Americans from $600 to $2,000.

Murphy went on to say that the 600 billionaires who live in America lost nothing during the pandemic. "They got richer," he said, adding that they "collectively added $1 trillion to their bank accounts."

Trump warns GOP has 'a death wish' after McConnell blocks $2,000 payments

"Unless Republicans have a death wish, and it is also the right thing to do, they must approve the $2000 payments ASAP. $600 IS NOT ENOUGH! Also, get rid of Section 230 - Don't let Big Tech steal our Country, and don't let the Democrats steal the Presidential Election. Get tough!" Trump tweeted.

'I don't believe you': Georgia senators face backlash after claiming to support $2K stimulus checks

Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue (R-GA) are facing tough reelection battles — made even tougher last week President Donald Trump demanded Congress increase individual stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000.

When Loeffler announced her support of $2,000 stimulus checks during an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, Dec. 29, Twitter users quickly chimed in to criticize the Republican senator.

During the interview, Loeffler said, "I've stood by the president 100% of the time. I'm proud to do that and I've said, absolutely, we need to get relief to Americans now and I will support that."

Back in July, Loeffler and Perdue were among the Senate Republicans that refused to even negotiate another stimulus package as unemployment benefits expired. Now, after supporting about the relief bill which included the $600 direct payments President Donald Trump described as a "disgrace," both senators have jumped ship and are now expressing support for the $2,000 stimulus checks.

How the worms turn!:)

Trump helps Mitch walk the plank!

Frustrated Americans react after 'monster' McConnell blocks vote on $2,000 stimulus checks: 'Teach him a lesson'

Despite substantial bipartisan support for an increase in stimulus payments for Americans, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has blocked progress, yet again.

During the latest Senate hearing, McConnell spoke about overriding President Donald Trump's veto of the defense bill as he shut down Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) request to vote on $2,000 direct payments to American workers.
Twitter reacts!
"Lose/lose if GOP doesn't vote for 2k. They lose voters, Georgia and the top 1% loses protections guaranteed them by a GOP-controlled Senate. I'm not quite sure that the GOP Senators fully appreciate the fury that will follow a poison pill situation. People are paying attention"

Bye Mitch.

Here's how we know Trump isn’t serious about running in 2024

Although the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden is less than a month away, President Donald Trump hasn't publicly ruled out the possibility of running for president again in 2024. But conservative Washington Post opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin argues that the president's recent actions show that there will be no 2024 campaign in his future.

"If he manages to sabotage the two Georgia GOP Senate candidates, he will deprive Republicans of the Senate majority, which would greatly assist President-elect Joe Biden in getting his nominees and legislative agenda through Congress," Rubin explains. "This is the conduct of someone who wants to burn down his party — and the country — if he cannot be president."

Rubin wraps up her column by stressing that Trump's actions during his lame duck period could inflict major damage on the GOP.

"Many of us in the Never Trumper camp have argued that the Republican Party is not worth preserving after years of its leaders' moral abdication, refusal to uphold their oaths and toleration of racism," Rubin writes. "What we did not bank on was that after corrupting the party, Trump would be the perfect means of destroying the GOP. In doing so, he might finally make a contribution to U.S. democracy."

Burn Baby, Burn!

Federal Judge Robert Pratt recently called President Donald Trump "a criminal" and criticized Trump's wave of presidential pardons, stating, "Apparently to get a pardon, one has to be either a Republican, a convicted child murderer or a turkey."

Pratt's comment referred to the December 23 pardons that Trump gave to fellow Republicans, security contractors convicted of killing a child and other Iraqi civilians and the literal turkeys that Trump annually pardons as part of the Thanksgiving presidential tradition.

"It's not surprising that a criminal like Trump pardons other criminals," Pratt said during a Monday interview with the Associated Press. Pratt, a judge in the U.S. Court of the Southern District of Iowa,

Trump Tried To Ban Teaching About Racism. Judge Says Eat Sh*t.

With all of the absolutely batshit insane nonsense going on right now, it can be easy to lose sight of all of the other messes Trump created. Between stupid coup attempts, a Christmas Day suicide bomber in downtown Nashville, and the president's Twitter account, there's just a lot of shit to keep track of. So you may have almost missed this nice little present we got last week.

Just in time for Christmas, Northern District of California Judge Beth Labson Freeman gave us a shiny, beautiful gift — a nationwide injunction stopping Donald Trump's diversity training ban.

In The Diversity Center of Santa Cruz v. Trump, Judge Labson Freeman found that the organizations challenging Trump's bigoted fuckery had shown that they were likely to win their First and Fifth Amendment claims and were entitled to a preliminary injunction blocking the insane, racist policy.

Suck it, Nazis.

Trump has been yammering about "signature verfication" in Cobb County Georgia for the past 6 weeks, implying there was widespread fraud there.

They hand-compared every request for absentee ballot vs signed ballots and came up with a whopping TWO errors:

  • A certain "Dorothy Smith" signed her ballot request as "Mrs. Ernest Smith" but signed the actual ballot itself as "Dorothy Smith".
  • A man signed his signature to the outside of a ballot request envelope instead of on the ballot request itself. This was erroneously allowed during the recount.

I'm sure one or more of the RWCJ will bellow loud and long about how this is Proooooooooof that the presidential election in Georgia wa somehow compromised and that means Trump is now President For Life.
