That 'booming' economy?

There was never even a plan for a Health Plan. The goal was to repeal Obamacare. Period.

America needs a public option.

Sounding like us Alt-Reich Nazis with that talk........public options are for liberals Rob.

Not "progressives" ...they want nationalization, that's what you voted for, that's why you'll not be getting anything :)

"Fred's opened its first store in 1947 in Mississippi. It later expanded its footprint across the United States with the idea of becoming a value-focused retailer and drug store. It sells both private labels and national brands.

Fred's is the latest store to enter bankruptcy or to completely shut its doors. Forever 21, Barney's, Charming Charlie, Payless Shoes and Gymboree have all had reports of or confirmed financial difficulties this year.

This year, retailers have announced 8,000 stores closures — and counting. That number already exceeds last year's total of 5,864 closure announcements, according to a report from Coresight Research. The firm forecasts as many as 12,000 stores will close by the end of the year."

And all trump can talk about is himself.

And all trump can talk about is himself.

What's Trump got to do with progressive (D) governors and mayors assassinating their economies??

What would you have him do??....it's ok none of you have been able to say shit except "take covid seriously!!" because you don't know.

Newsflash, public health policy is controlled by your state. It's not a federal issue and POTUS isn't a god king so there isn't much beyond a few emergency items he can do.

The failure to repeal shows us the pathway to the Public Option. Republicans knew a repeal would have ended their political futures.

I think once we get to Jan 21, 2021 we are going to see a shocking change of events in the Republican Party.

It would have been nice if he would have been Trump.

He could have called governors and pressured them to adopt a mask mandate, since we know he can call governors and pressure them to do things.

He could have brokered a deal where states that have mask mandates get more federal aid. He ran on a platform that he was an amazing negotiator that could get deals done.

The fact that he didn't do anything is why he lost the election in a landslide.

Yep, he made his choice...Narcissists often make the kind of choices he made.

Bye-Don!

I suppose he could have, but he's not trying to please California/NY elites.

And?? Politicians campaign on all sorts of shit they never follow through on, just look at the last 8 or so presidents and 99% of congress critters in the last century.

Whatever.

The fact that he didn't do anything is why he lost the election in a landslide.

I'd hardly call 140K~ votes a landslide, this WH election was even closer than the last one DESPITE the record turn out.

No, narcissist use the opportunity to consolidate power/authority and almost always use that authority restrict/oppress those they govern.

That would be why Trump was run out on a rail

It wasn't a campaign promise, Trump didn't even try to solve the biggest problem the country has had in a century. It's one thing not to be able to deliver a campaign promise, it's another thing to hide in the WH bunker.

You shouldn't call it that, because that's simply wrong. Trump lost the popular vote by over 7 million and the electoral 302-232. That's not closer than the 2016 election.

Correct...some folks like misinformation. 7 million votes and 302-232 is a wider margin than 2016.

oh, wait, they are using alternative math as well as alternative facts.

LOL...at least you're honest about who the (D)'s are beholden to.

And I disagree, I think was BARELY beaten because the (R)'s are WAY behind on their digital media game and didn't account for silicon valley going totally partisan hack activist.

Trump didn't even try to solve the biggest problem the country has had in a century.

Not his problem to solve, if that's a problem we should be looking at CONGRESS to do something about that.

I personally was very glad that Trump didn't even have the option of using covid to consolidate power and act like the civil rights violating dictator the left seems to wish he should have been.

I don't think we should give any POTUS that much power.

The popular vote is irrelevant.

States, in particular swing states, determine who becomes POTUS.

The EC was won by 140k votes in a few swing states, 140k votes in the swing states and Trump would be potus.....for a nation our size? That's pretty thin.

No....we just understand how elections work.

Something you guys still can't seem to grasp.

7 million = irrelevant.

That 302 was won by 140k~ votes as of the reports a few days back.

Please provide a source or report to back up your opinion... otherwise it's just your opinion.

"The popular vote is irrelevant."

Ah, I see, what people want is irrelevant when you say so... I guess all your whining about the people having things rammed down their throats is just not a thing.:D

The presidential elections of 1824, 1876, 1888, 2000 and 2016....the winner did not win the popular vote.

No, it's irrelevant because the Constitution says so. ;)

So you don't want a nation wide universal HC system??? Democrats don't support Medicare for all??

so... let's get this thread back on topic.

There are plenty of other threads for you lot to argue the ins and outs of your archaic democracy.

I'd like some of our erstwhile trumptard republican economists to list out a few of the key markers that are the results of impeached ex president trumps economic genius so we can use these as a base line for measuring how well Sleepy Joe performs in comparison over the next 4 years.

So... let's have it, current numbers for: unemployed, bankruptcies, annualised GDP, sharemarket, trade deficits, National debt, all those markers that you see as important. List 'em out.

You really don't understand how elections work. Biden would not have won without California & NY.
You don't get to pick facts because of your feelings.

You will not see me expounding on subjects like trump and the trumptards who think they know more than people who have spent their lives studying a science.

Let's look at an even bigger picture: in a few short weeks, Republicans will pivot from lauding President Trump for the economic upturn that was largely the result of President Obama's policies to blaming President Biden for the economic downturn that was largely the result of President Trump's incoherent policies.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I never said he could have won without them....just that they weren't the swing states that decided the election.

Joe won by a wee 140k votes....

(D)'s arbitrary termination of their state/city economies doesn't have anything to do with Trump or his policies. :)

Don't care if she did or not.

Do you have anything other than a sad whataboutism you wanted to add??

Not "whataboutism" at all, little fella.

You were clutching your pearls and denigrating President-elect Biden's razor thin victory margins in the swing states as "wee", and I was simply pointed out that when Trump beat Clinton by an even tinier margin and we didn't hear jack shit out of you.

Of course, that...That...THAT'S DIFFERENT! right?

p.s. you haven't whined about "orange man bad!" today...not feeling particularly victimized? Your streak of 1500+ days of victimhood is at risk!
