I happened to notice a bunch of AMA (Ask Me Anything) threads popping up elsewhere on the bulletin boards and figured I'd give it a go.

1) Why are you so fauve? Did you run out of Zoloft?

2) How huge roughly is your HUGE fantasy world? Round the number to the nearest 10 cubic gigaparsecs.

1) My fauvishness is due to too much (?) testosterone — not diagnosed, but certainly sexual obsession. Never had any Zoloft (escitalopram, on the other hand)— tho' running out of it would not likely contribute to one being beast-like.

2) I reckon my fantasy world is mostly Earth bound, with occasional forays in linear directions — several light years away, but I was less concerned about the actual location/distance than the objective of the surreal. Perhaps my fantasy world is not a large as yours?

Are you inspired by a specific place to draw? Your studio? Your bed? The rooftop? Anywhere you find a sketchpad?

Do you draw in the nude? Do you touch yourself while you draw?

Are you inspired by a specific place to draw? Not typically the place, as I do not draw environments, much. I am more inspired by the "fauna" in a place (animals at the zoo, people in a café...)

Your studio? The studio is conducive, because that is what it is for. I was being more prolific in my studio/office, but had to vacate that space and my home studio became overly chaotically cluttered as a result. Trying to address that...s-l-o-w work. Had planned a garage sale — the COVID. though I did manage to sell my drafting table and Steelcase desk and give away a dresser, which helped with the space.

Your bed? pretty rarely. Bed is mostly for sleep (and morning masturbation)

The rooftop? Not THIS rooftop, too much of a pitch.

Anywhere you find a sketchpad? I typically have a sketchpad nearby. pre-COVID I would often go to a café and always had drawing supplies in my backpack. I fell out of drawing on a regular basis and wrote more thoughts and notes than drew. It's a goal to get back to that.

Do you draw in the nude? Only the few times when I was drawing nude "selfies"

Do you touch yourself while you draw? Not in a sexual way. I will lick my fingers to blend ink or water soluble colored pencils. When I draw I am quite focused on the image. I have gotten semi-hard at the concept or subject. I wrote a short story about an actual life drawing event (with some fantasy embellishment)

Thanks for asking.:)

I've been looking into nude modeling recently and kind of want a piece down for my significant other. Have you considered doing commissions?

I have, and I have.;)

I prefer to work from life. Naturally that is generally not practical.
Currently, I don't have much time for those sort of fun projects.

"down"? typo/auto-correct? drawn?
Something in particular in mind?

Do you ever go back and work on old pieces?
Yes. Not very frequently, But I have. Sometimes I will look back and have a do-over with the same concept.

I save EVERYTHING!
And by scanning work in, I can archive that and work into an image digitally OR physically.
