Story plot email discussion partner?

Would anyone care to bounce some ideas around for short story plots? I have it in mind to get a fairly regular private email to-and-fro going. No rules as such although it would be nice to find someone equally interested in such things as infidelity, n/c and taboo themes.

Female preferred but not essential: much more interested in enthusiasm and imaginative ideas.

What would turn me off is poor English. If you find a polite refusal coming your way, it's more than likely that your message to me has shown this.

I wouldn't make that assumption on the face of reading your original post. Yes, you say "Female preferred", but that is just your preference for a respondent.

Your user name is rather androgynous, at least to me it is, so I wouldn't assume you're a female just by that. And doing a cursory look through your post history didn't scream female to me either.

Regardless, I hope you find a writing partner, and maybe consider sharing some of your output with the rest of us in the future.

Two women have proven they can read; that is a great start. I know Chica from exchanging some mails with her, and Mudane One is a woman also, I believe. Too bad both decided to terminate their accounts here.

So what to do, Magineer? Have you run into more interested takers in the meantime?

What do you think of preparing yourself for mailing out some thoughts on the kind of short stories you have in mind? I would not mind participating in your effort, but I would hate to only input ideas to you, and never hearing anything back.

The one person who replied seriously to me via PM proved unable to maintain any kind of regularity of correspondence. Couldn't seem to be bothered - rather echoing that last remark of yours.

I have a couple of favourite themes, as probably everyone does, but otherwise no restrictions or red lines on subjects for discussion.

I can only shrug and wonder what else I can say. I'm not offering undying friendship but, on the other hand, I would have thought that most people would welcome an interesting email correspondence. Allegedly, many people have time on their hands right now...

I did not ask you for generalities but for specifics. your response was no more than what you wrote in your OP already.

It seems to me, if you are looking for cooperation partners, you ought to be prepared to offer more than these few words. In PM form if more convenient. To make sure you are not expecting your partners to carry more of the load than yourself.

I repeat that I'm not looking necessarily for a female as I'm fully aware of the virtual absence of them on this site, despite appearances. Any "Johns in frocks", be aware that I'll be treating anyone who responds simply as a correspondent and nothing else.

Required are:

1. Good English - if you can't pass the "to-too-two" and "alot, thankyou" tests, please don't bother me with your lack of education.

2. Good imagination - you need to have a sense of the quirky and interesting, not just a desire to wank, which is most people's substitute on here...
