Robinson Cano of the New York Mets fails his second steroid test in three years, will be suspended for the entire 2021 season and forfeit his entire $24 million dollar salary for 2021.

Ouch.

My Angles will:

Do absolutely nothing in regards to their pitching problems and probably go after yet another overpriced bat.

I predict that they will go hard for Bauer in the hopes of salvaging what's left of Trout's prime years.

So he won't be eligible to play again until he's 39, and he's not going to be making that kind of money at 39.

He's had a Hall of Fame career leaving aside the suspensions, but Hall voters have been taking PEDs into account.

McNeil's one hell of a backup at 2B.

Though I've been hearing sports radio here chatter on all afternoon that LeMahieu becomes an attractive target for the Mets and Cohen. But Cano's got 2 more years after 2021, so that's an expensive addition.

One can hope...

But they'll fall short again. It's what they do. They've had golden opportunities for the last 3 years to get arms and they have failed every time.

Reds non-tendered Archie Bradley................after they gave up VanMeter and some other guy for him?

And the Rockies non-tendered David Dahl..........maybe his shoulder isn't any better post-surgery?

:eek::eek:

Cano is still alive? And playing? Well, not this year but still.

So glad I enjoyed this dude when he was at his best with the Yankees when they were year-round playoff threats.

but reading him be old makes me feel old! :D

No Bauer yet, but they do appear to be stockpiling Iglesiases.

Josh Bell traded from the Buccs to the 'Nats for two pieces of cake and a bag of balls.

Lindor and Carrasco to the Muts.

Looks like SAC's making his big splash as the newest billionaire owner on the block.

Angels still haven't made a move for an ace.
Instead were in trade talks for a catcher. 🙄

I know why a team that isn't actually very good might want to shed payroll, but the Indians have actually been good-to-excellent (they've been in the postseason 4 of the last 5 years), and have still traded off stars to the point where they only have 6 players left making above the minimum.

But I assume tickets (when those become a thing again) will be expensive as ever for a AAA product.
