Anklets?

Just curious if any ladies still wear anklets and for what reason? Always heard the traditional “hotwifes” would wear them to tell others they were available for sex. Does the side your wear it on have any specific meaning? Any specific chain or charm make a diiference?

Well, I recently bought my wife an anklet that says"Hotwife" on it. It was a gag type gift. We have hotwife fantasies we role play and explore so I bought it based off of that. But she does love it and wants to wear it to feel naughty. It's just a little daring to wear it around where we live. We're a well respected "normal" couple. Lol

I have some anklets but other than reading about some of the lifestyle signals they are supposed to mean, I don't think I have ever had anyone infer an availability. There used to be something about thumb and toe rings which kind of held true around the place as women used to hit on you

It wasn't until a couple we met on a cruise told us, rightly or wrongly, it was a sign that I was available. Different ankles apparently have different meaning but don't ask me which or what.
However it has been a conversation starter on several occasions with both coules and men.

Anklets as jewelry is are sexy AF. I don't know about what message it sends for those seeking a specific indicator but in general - I like them!

Use to wear one myself and had no idea it had any meaning other than I thought it looked nice.

She had a guy come up to her and say, "Just to let you know, I think jewelry on a woman's feet is really sexy."

Coincidentally, I found some anklets today that I had stored away long ago and never worn. I tried them on and decided I'll start wearing them regularly, but I'm only wearing them because I like how they look.

Hubby bought me one several years ago as an anniversary present that I still wear today. I was dancing with a gentleman one night and was told that wearing it on my right ankle it meant I was available. He then asked if the man at the table was my husband. I said yes and he asked if he knew the significance of the anklet. I said I didn't know but that he could ask him.

Once we got back to the table he asked to join us and we nodded. He and my hubby discussed it and Ron told him that he did indeed know the lore of the anklet. He stayed at the table with us the rest of the night and I danced with both of them several times. Nothing else happened but it was an enjoyable evening.

I've seen charms that can be added but to me it makes it look like a junior high bracelet and I've always said no. I've been wearing mine for years and this was the only time anyone has ever mentioned it. But who knows? It may have inspired a few dance invitations along the way.

IMHO, an anklet means what you want it to mean.

In some lifestyles there is a connotation as to thier meaning such as with whether it is worn on this ankle or that or if there is a certain charm attached. But those are limited to those lifestyles. Even there they may have no meaning other than a pretty decoration.

In the average world there really is no meaning other than from an aesthetic one. It draws attention to the leg, enhances certain shoe and dress selections or the woman just enjoys the look of that type of jewelry. Rather like wearing multiple rings, tennis bracelets, a fine watch, a necklace or really any other type of jewelry.

This is true of me. I wear them in the summer when I'm wearing skirts or shorts more. I've never worn them because of some sexual meaning (that I am unaware of) I wear them because I like how they look, they are fun, and a pretty way to accessorize

Depending on what these codes were, I probably wouldn't either. Could be fun to get jumped in public just because of an anklet
