The November PM Challenge

Inspired by this thread from July -----> The July PM Challenge, I thought we could do another one to build more community feeling and positivity again!

Sometime it's nice to have a reason to PM that person you've been checking out or say hello to someone thar you haven't talked to for awhile. And if yore like me (an awkward overthinking scatterbrain) then a little directions will help a lot!

Everyday I'll post a new challenge for who to PM or how many. I promise it won't be too scandalous but all in good fun. If you want to link this thread in your PM, that's great. Also don't worry if you miss a day, just jump in where you can!!

Stop in and let us know if you are playing along, want a PM, and how it's going. And let me know if you have an idea for a challenge!

Done - although it was a couple weeks ago.

I’ve been away from Lit for awhile, and one of the first things I did was reaching out to some of my old friends. Some responded, some didn’t...

(And yes - I enjoy getting PMs from friends I haven’t met yet!)

Of course I will join in. I've always enjoyed the concept and premise of this. It has encouraged me to drop certain isms and follow through with thoughts, putting them into action.

My 2 are done, but it doesn't have to stop at two

That was a popular inbox question, it irritated me at the time, but I now completely understand why. I at one time was very active elsewhere, knew a few who had been Lit members back-back in the day. Thank you for saying, Orchi. I did not feel that way. Interacting was much easier there. Lit is a compact little family, which can be intimidating if you let it. Actually only still around cause someone told me to dig deep and I'd find great things here.

I actually thought the same thing and not in a tinfoil hat kind of way. She just seemed comfortable and didn’t have the awkwardness most everyone has here in the beginning. Maybe she just has social skillz that are not normal for Internet forums.

Luckily there are welcoming people like me who make this place easy to enjoy.

You hit the nail on the head, Trixxii - I stepped away a few years ago because I was finding Lit quite cliquish. It was so very difficult to join conversations - even after being a member for several years - so I became frustrated and turned my back on the community.

Things seem different now; I’m glad I opened the door again!
