Notable pollsters are cautioning Americans to refrain from getting too comfortable with polling predictions as Election Day approaches, suggesting polls may not account for “shy” or “hidden” Trump voters– those who are largely responsible for President Trump’s upset victory four years ago. In this election, the magnitude of such voters could be even greater.

A Breitbart prediction, no less. Still playing the same campaign strategy as four years ago, oblivious to the fact that all this early voting indicates that the nation is sick and tired of their crap.

Buh-bye, alt right. You had your moment in the sun, and you blew it, as expected by anyone who saw through the con game a long time ago.

Every election, like every horse race, is presented as if all candidates have an equal chance of winning. It’s how they keep the viewers tuned in.

The shy, hidden Trump voters are going to be pissed when they have to wait in long covid inoculation lines while they wait to vote because their hero messed up the post office.

If anything, I'm expecting the opposite: a substantial number of women who are going to vote for Biden but don't want their husbands to know.

So, do you think the polling firms have properly corrected the methodologies that underrepresented the support for President Trump in 2016 and they are now collecting truly representative samples and have overcome the Bradley Effect? I do tend to wonder. I always wonder about polls, too often they seem designed not to measure public opinion, but to influence it.

People are being cowed into supporting Trump by right-wing bullies. I doubt that the opposite is happening.

The only poll that counts is on Tuesday.

Or Wednesday, Thursday or when the lawsuits are finally resolved. Actually, a large part of the population has already voted. I don't trust the USPS, so I'm waiting for Tuesday to vote in person.

Then why did you claim what you did? I don't really think that bullies are influencing the election unless we're talking about social media and the mainstream press.

What about crashing into the Biden bus?

That's the sort of tactic usually seen in totalitarian regimes.

I see, the exception has now become the rule. This is a very enlightened point-of-view; I bow in deference. Would you say that they guy who shot up a Republican baseball practice is indicative of the violence of the Left?

You don’t suppose that there are people displaying Trump yard signs and bumper stickers out of concern for their safety, who will actually vote for Biden?

Are you shitting me? Do you know how dumb and out-of-touch that sounds? I don't think that there is a significant number of people displaying Trump signs as a form of protection in the light of how much the Left (the Democrats) hate him and it therefore makes them a target.

I think both are examples of stupid assholes, and the world has a surplus of them.

But the attack on the Biden bus was by a large group of people, not an individual. That is worrying for a fair democratic process.

Maybe you have never lived in a small town.

I have, I do. We don't lash out at our neighbors. You seem to live in a fantasy world, but let us accept your premise for the sake of making a point; in the converse, how many urban/suburban Trump voters are hiding behind Biden signs? Can you not even follow the implications of what you are trying to posit?

Beside the point; we all know the dynamics of mob psychology, but the shooter was only motivated by the rhetoric (and endemic hate) of the Left. I do not believe that you can draw the conclusion which you have articulated.

And those that stopped the Biden bus were not motivated by the rhetoric of the President (and supported by him after the event)?

That’s what this thread is about. Have you read it?

Again, mob psychology. I find it amusing that stopping the bus is the equivalent of a politicly motivated shooting with the intent of murder.
