List more funny horror here?
I watched Midsommar last night. I had known about it and reviews said it was really scary. I was not “scared” in the normal sense. I was more scared for commiserating. What an interesting movie. I avoided Hereditary due to the subject matter, but I think I will watch it tonight.
Not to detract from seela's question (no Thanksgiving for me so I've got nothing to add, sadly!) but:
Does anyone have any horror movie suggestions?
I'm really struggling to find a new one at this point so, if anyone has a good question, I would be eternally grateful!
I loveeeeeee a good horror movie (or even a bad one) - especially psychological, paranormal, etc. Less keen on torture-porn but that's only because it's a bit 2D in its approach!![]()

Under the Shadow, 2016.
I recommend "Ghost Story" (1981), an excellent movie that tilts to the suspense/paranormal end of the spectrum. The cast is a who's who of old school actors.
Is that the Iranian one during the Iraq-Iran war?
If so, I really, really liked that one!
Yes, that's the one. I really enjoyed it a lot, too, and it's one of my go-to recommendations when someone asks for one.
It's a great suggestion! I particularly like how it's not a western-centric one. I like the lack of English and the different cultures ... how that can be reinterpreted into new forms of horror and terror.
Thank you!
If anyone wants a TERRIBLE suggestion, I'm still banging a drum for the worst movie (all genres) that I've ever seen.
Ever. Ever, ever.
Thaw of the Dead.
Thaw of the ******* Dead.
Watch it and be transformed.
Have you seen...
Hobo With A Shotgun?
Or...
Nude Nuns With Big Guns?
You won't be disappointed.
Also,
Nazis At The Center Of The Earth.
Those suggestions?! I am in tears!
I have heard of the first and the third. Not the second. It rhymes though! It rhymes!!!

Recently I discovered that "Trump vs. the Illuminati" is a movie that somebody made. I haven't seen it, but maybe it'll find a place on your list.
What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving movies?
Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Steve Martin does "subtle" and John Candy (aka the nicest guy in show biz and a Toronto boy) total strangers trying to get from New York to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Its the best road / buddie movie ever made. The scene where Steve Martin looses it and curses out a rental car employee using "fuck" 18 times in 60 seconds. Its hilarious.
One of my favorites, right up there with The Great Outdoors.
