LETS HAVE FUCKING NEW YEARS EVE already. Just give us something. For those who are afraid of getting sick, stay home. For those that want to celebrate, let them have a celebration. Are we going to let the Grinch steal the rest of the holidays after he already stole Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July, college football, and pretty much everthing else?

I was with the whole lockdown and quarantine thing in the beginning, and honestly was harshly critical of those who wanted to keep things opened up because "They're taking away muh freedomz!" I believe in sacrifice for the greater good and like most decent people I was willing to make that sacrifice.

But that was six months ago! And you know what? THAT SHIT DIDNT WORK! If we cannot eradicate the virus by now- and apparently we can't, then there is no need to live in some dystopian North Korea-style system for the rest of our lives. Let people have their parades, their concerts, and their parties. Because honestly, at some point more and more people are going to realize, life isn't worth living if it's just an endless prison sentence.

Mostly because of the shitty job that was done with it so far. It doesn't change on your preferred schedule or anyone else's. The United States leads in deaths from this because of the self-centered, impatient, pretty dopey makeup of the American "type" (as seen already in the approach to gun possession).

Montreal is in Wave 2. Prepping for another lockdown. 6 months of this and I am pretty fed up. This is going to go on for awhile.
 
New years is overrated. I'll be happy if I can have the kids over for Xmas dinner.
 
I'm sitting here shaking my head at all the idjits who are complying with this ongoing insanity and hoping that if they stay hidden deep in their underground bunkers, the Covid will just "go away" and not infect them.

Apparently the world has devolved into a bunch of momma's bois and namby pamdy's afraid of their own shadow.

B) there's nothing to "handle" other than not putting untested people in proximity to vulnerable people. New York and New Jersey alone are most of the problem, but they ran out of vulnerable people to kill, so they are doing fine, now.
