So trump raped a few women, what's the big deal?

So silly.

He's raped nobody until and unless a Court finds him Guilty of Rape and all Appeals are exhausted.

This is the same standard which applies to all Americans.

This is nothing but another delay tactic and a shot to get it moved away from the State and into safer, pardonable territory.

You'd do the same thing, most smart people would.

Doesn't make him or You Guilty of anything.

If it's the same standard that applies to all Americans, then Hillary is innocent... correct?

When do you suppose trump will prosecute her as he promised? Actually deliver evidence instead of just smearing.

You know from being a defendant, I know from reading the law. Big difference, little fella.

What a ridiculous thing for you to post. What an idiot you are.

Yes, of course, Hillary is innocent.

I doubt Trump will ever do anything like that. It's just cheap political tricks in all directions.

The sad yet funny part is how so many of you here on both sides spend so much time talking about such nonsense.

I'd much rather talk about the spectacular public park blowjob I received from a delicious little blonde yesterday afternoon.

From its link:

The government is justifying the decision to involve the DOJ by claiming that the president is protected by The Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), a law that essentially shields federal employees from civil litigation, because he "was acting within the scope of his office or employment at the time of the incident out of which the claim arose."

That's why we have so many lawyers...

That's also why lay persons like the OP opine on things they don't understand
because it seems to fit in with their sense of political opportunism
as verses really delving into the issue and
exploring its many facets.
Why should trump tweeting defaming smears about a woman's claim of events which took place years ago be considered "acting within the scope of his office or employment"? What evidence does trump have that implies her claims have anything to do with his office or employment?

Moreover, how can the U.S. have justice if a president can control both the prosecution and the defense? Sounds similar to having a Senate trial in which "the Senate court" refused the prosecution's ability to call witnesses... it's not justice, it's fascism. Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany, Hussein's Iraq, Stalin and Putin's Russia... trump's America... all fascist doing the same thing.

Why should a woman be saying such things about the President of the United States?

It's an obvious publicity stunt by a faded women's magazine "writer" looking for an easy last hurrah payday.

Republicans'

He has a sister who hates him.

They can use her DNA. This is a nuisance suit. At best.

By the way...the Appeals Court ORDERED him to comply. So again, do we follow our laws even if we don't agree with them? Or are you above our legal system?

I have yet to see ONE argument as to why this falls under DOJ jurisdiction. Surely...Republicans can come up with one. What is FOX saying today?

Donny is broke. His campaign has already spent an insane amount of money on lawyers. His boi Barr would like us to pick up the tab on this one.

The RNC is also billing the taxpayers for damage to the White House lawn caused by their illegal convention.

This is like the "You light a match" speech from Goodfellas. They see a loss coming and they're just trying to grab what they can on the way out the door.

Silence. Still answers my questions plus proves no one here on the right has any balls to say it out loud.

Does anyone seriously believe that Barr is anything but Donnie's personal attorney. You can't expect him to work on anything that is meaningful to the country if Big Don has some problems that need solving. I am surprised Trump has not gotten some of that poison from Putin yet.

.

I slammed Barr for acting as Trump's personal attorney in other threads and was assured that wasn't the case by the "best" legal minds on the GB.

I accept their apology in absentia.

By defending Trump and Barr they have forfeited all credibility on matters related to the law.

Fucking shills.

they never had any anyway, but this just reinforces that all the way

Oh I am sure HisArpy will be along in the morning to explain how we are all wrong on this legal matter too....

Wait, is it morning already?

Dam.

Anyway, Federal law kind of mandates that the DOJ do this. That YOU don't personally believe it should be done, is irrelevant to the fact that Federal law says it WILL BE done.

Sorry to pop your bubble but when it comes to you getting things "popped", you weren't exactly a virgin anyway.

Putin has his puppet and Trump has his tools.

The tools are the worst of them all.

So you are saying "follow the law" right? So if a Court says, "supply DNA" and the Appeals Court says, "supply DNA"...should you supply DNA? Or what about tax records?

The DOJ is not a President's personal lawyer. Did Clinton ask the DOJ to defend him when he was accused of something similar with Jones? Did they step in and say "we will take over this?"

Timmeh has some rather novel interpretations of the law.
*nods*

Under the Trump administration, the government has gone from prosecutin' sex crimes to defendin' sex crimes.

The very epitome of conservative values.
