Hello everyone, I’m considering getting on a dating application again just to see what’s/who’s out there. I have used Tinder in the past but it’s been awhile.

I usually meet people in my daily life more organically, however that’s changed. So I’m looking to put myself out there..

What Apps is everyone else using?

Are you actually meeting up with people?

There isn't much dating going on right now. These are dark times for everyone, but none more so than those who are single. Dating is basically impossible- what can you really do? "Hey let's sit in front of our computer screens and stare at each other's pictures." Or "Lets text back and forth and maybe we'll meet up in front of a closed restaurant but stay six feet apart, and baby, you sure look good in that mask."

For singles, love and romance is dead. That is the grim truth of it.

I'd put any normal (meaning indoors or in enclosed spaces) social interactions with other people you don't intimately know on ice until next year. America fucked its shit up over Covid and we now have to learn the hard way in order to be responsible hoomin beans about our and others' health.

That being said, I don't see the sitch as being dire or impossible. While it's still being warm weather and your outdoors mobility is still accessible depending on the social guidelines of where you live, I'd take advantage of that and use your imagination as broadly as possible.

I’m riding a 20 year old i met online.

Once you release yourself of “morals and values” it’s pussy galore.

You’re not wrong..

It’s definitely a mess..

I've never tried a dating app. Maybe it's time now? I used to feel that using a dating service of any kind would limit my exposure only to those who would use dating services. This was my own problem I think. I had invented the right girl for me, and decided where I would find her, rather than meeting people and allowing for things to progress on a path apart from my preconceived ideal. But I'm past all that now. I'm back to basics. Affection is the diamond of my eye. Ironically, I also like to meet people in an organic and friendly way, free from contrivances. It took me a hot minute to get here though. Now....I wonder if I can weave my pimp trance on the small screen....

OH....but COVID. Well. I have to admit I am not 100% isolating. I mean...I wipe down my groceries and I use hand sanitizer when I go to the bodega.

Anyone else think that hand sanitizer sometimes smells like three-too-many complimentary resort margaritas?

Anyway... I was going to say that COVID feels like a risk I'd take to get closer to someone despite my better judgement. After all, I've begun hosting small gatherings at my house again. I am less concerned with friends and family than Average Jane. But if Jane were alluring, well. This is a total flip from how I've conducted myself most of my life.
