Just like Democrats aren't trying to attack the second amendment by advocating for sensible gun laws, Democrats are also not promoting communism when they advocate for things like a living wage and access to affordablel health care. They're also not demanding open borders when they try to pass legislation to address the problem of children of illegal immigrants who had no choice in where they ended up living and calling home. When they call for racial justice and police reform it doesn't mean that they're calling for anarchy, quite the opposite actually.

I would say she is a bright, charismatic, and dealistic young woman, who is able to clearly and convincingly articulate her position on many of the major issues facing the country and the world at this moment in time. Climate change is real. Gross wealth disparity is real. Unequal access to basic rights and needs based on class and race is real. Etc, etc.

If you're trying to diminish her intelligence by pooh poohing the fact that she has identified the problems in society and is proposing bold action to address them then you have failed epically.

The alternative is sticking with the status quo, and that has also failed epically.

AOC's only problem is the speed in which she is demanding change; but then again, she could very well be right about that as well.

Record global temperatures and Arctic melting, freak derechos, pandemics that further expose racial and social injustice, a corrupt president and Republican Party, continued examples of excessive police use of force and shootings, an uptick in white supremacist activity, etc.

She may just be way ahead of the curve for some of you slow learners. She also is not alone in her views which very soon will likely be the majority opinion in the country and around the world.
