What happened to cellulite?

I remember the day I discovered that my mom had it. Fluffy little white pocked pillows all over her butt and thighs. When I commented on the oddness of her skin, she smacked me!

That's when I noticed the ads. Tons of ads for creams, gels, oils, lotions and massaging devices to get rid of the dreaded cellulite. There were even diets for it.

I remember frequently checking the mirror throughout my 20's and 30's to see if I had it. I didn't. Then I forgot about it. Until just now! I'm 61 and I still don't have it.

It seems to have gone away! I see countless nude pics here and also pornos and the women never have it! And no more ads for getting rid of it!

Where did it go? Was it caused by something in the diet that is no longer commonly eaten? Like margarine? Or some discontinued candy?

And no. I'm not going to ask to see my mom's naked backside. I don't like getting smacked. Not by her, anyway... :D

Half of the women walking past my seaside house have it (and three-quarters of the men).

Sometimes I wish they would look in a mirror before baring acres of fat.

Hahaha!

Maybe I just don't see it IRL because there aren't any scantily dressed women around here. We are having warm weather now but our climate is usually so mild that many people don't even own a pair of shorts.

Well... I haven't seen it. Except for the pics currently being posted in this thread! They could be old pics though! :D Or photoshopped.

Just google "fat Walmart customers" and regret it.

Or worse still - Visit your local Walmart and marvel.

In the UK - ASDA customers are not usually as bad but some are.

I go to the Walmart Neighborhood Market. Not too many fat customers in there but there is a very large employee. I think he's Hawaiian. He used to run a register and sat on a little stool. I feared that the stool would break under his weight. And he was just sort of trapped there. Had a hard time bagging the groceries.

Now they have him sitting outside the entrance, manning the table with paper towels and sanitizer for the carts. At least he has a chair now and it looks more substantial.

Ever have a fat person break a chair at your house? OMG! One of my daughter's friends broke two folding patio chairs. Now I look at the weight limit for all that I buy. Some of those outdoor chairs have weight limits of 85 or 145 pounds. Most adult males would exceed that! Even most women!

Years ago I bought two secondhand Honda mopeds at out local auction. They had dual seats but one had a label sayng total load 150 lbs. I weighed much more than that so gave it to my youngest daughter.

The other said 180 lbs - for two people? I sold it to a small woman.

They laser it. We have a million “spa clinics” in the area that supposedly do this

Ogg, those are real people. I doubt they gave permission for someone to photograph them, then circulate their pictures for online ridicule. It's an unnecessary cruelty. Please delete them :rose:

That is a cute dog walking along with Mrs. Obama. But it made me wonder about the value of life. Is it limited to black people or does it also pertain to black dogs?

What about black cellulite? Does it matter?

Thanks for sharing, gav.

I can change them to links and I will but it will make no difference. There are hundreds of pictures of Walmart customers on the internet. The one on the buggy is available on hundreds of sites.

I realise that. We can't control what everyone else does, but we can choose not to add to it. I can't imagine what it would feel like to find a picture of yourself being used that way. There's so many accounts from morbidly obese people who become shut ins, adding to their health problems, because they are so afraid of people who stare and take pictures.

They will also be recorded on Walmarts CCTV.

Praps doesn't help their self esteem either when they read people would rather be dead than fat.

I see few really fat people in the Walmart Super Centers I visit, they'd need a trolly system to get around from one end to the other.:)
