When you consider only citizen/police interactions that involve active resisting arrest it is not even close. Blacks are far more likely to assault a cop.

All things considered, cops show an amazing degree of restraint, which is what every actual study of the issue has shown.

Society punishes that more severely because if you will assault a policeman you will assault anyone. He tried to take the officers gun. The officer was lucky, because he beat the odds. Odds were 18:1 that Brown would have killed him instead of the other way around.

You are whinging about a splinter that kill at most, what? 2-3 people while a redwood takes out 15,000 young black men. Your example on Heart disease is completely wrong. Heart disease is not the number one killer of young black men. Young black men are the number one killer of young black men. No one gives a fuck about that, so I'd like to know why she get of a fuck about a handful of young black men that nobody would have given a fuck about if they had simply picked a fight with another young black man instead of a cop.

Show me the Chauvins and a wrongful death and I will support prosecution. It is and it's a bit presumptuous to assume ALL PEOPLE aren't really concerned about gun violence in Chicago's south side, which is the black/brown side of the city.

Oh, right, your making a political statement about the side you dislike, I got it now.

Without addressing(having a plan) for the outright poverty of the south side it is near impossible to "fix" this problem of gun violence and without some minimum base of economics for the folks that live their, education as a pathway out of poverty and violence just will not work.

Systemic Racism is imbedded in every fiber of the generational poverty that exists on the south side, it's embedded in the lack of minimum standards for providing educational pathways to the north side or any one of the more afluent nearby communities or pathways to turning the south side around economically. We just "celebrated" the founding of our country and most likely the founders too, all of whom played a part in creating the systemic racial and economic divisions that exist to this day across the country and in the south side. The gun violence is a symptom (a significant one) of this entrenched systemic economic and racial divide.

We should all want this to change, rather than blame it on a political party or emblem.
