i saw a story on dw news last night, 1300 people have the virus at one of the german meat processing plants. there have been several stories in various places about the meat packing plants in the u s becoming hotspots for the virus. i wonder if they're researching ties to meat and virus spread since they still aren't sure how it is transmitted. the other thing all meat plants have in common is flies. could they be the vector?

The environment seems right for it. People working and breathing hard in a fairly confined space. I think viruses do better in cooler temperatures, and out of sunlight, so meat packing plants check those boxes as well. Add in ventilation systems and it's a perfect incubator for Covid.

Air conditioned halls and churches, with people talking and singing are very similar.
