I don't know about y'all, but I've been indulging in a healthy amount of mental escapism lately. Pleasurable astroplaning, if you will. Gives me a brief break from it all, and a little smile on my face, if done properly.

So, if you could teleport to a fictional setting right now, where would you go?
To explore all nine levels of Dante's inferno?
Would you be a kept woman in Paris a la a much-gossiped-about-in-hushed-tones mistress from a Jane Austen's novel?
Would you go full blown Jason Bourne or Neo in the Matrix and start swinging?
The subject of a Neruda love poem?
Would you plummet down the rabbit hole and eat this and drink that?

Let's play pretend for a spell....

Mine is boring - I daydream about my perfect apocalypse cabin. Where the perfect location would be where I could be isolated, but not too far from resources, have chickens, goats, cows and also access to plentiful clean water and land to plant. The cabin would also need a hidden panic room and a cool root cellar.

I would like to be at the fictional Literotica Pool Party.
The burgers are on the grill. The sun is shining brightly.
And all my favorite Lit people are there.
We eat, laugh and jump in the pool.

Then someone suggests a game of Truth or Dare.

To tie in to yesterday’s question, I bet I’d take dare and I wouldn’t fold.

This is WAY more fun than my apocalypse cabin, so I'll add this into the mix. And I need to think of a dare that would make hw at least consider folding... that could be a tough one.

I have had many dreams very similar to this. Back in the yahoo days. I used to go to Seattle Get togethers. So it's not hard to transition to lit.
I've also talked with many Litsters about girly get togethers. Spa days mostly. Weekend cabin with girl talk.
Never happened. But it was fun to think about.

Now though. I'd take a week at a spa, full of pampering and massages.

The cabin sounds really cool. This could be the next hit TV show—Cabinstropic!
Contestants design their own apocalypse cabins and then attack each other with super soakers to see who built the best cabin. Btw, all contestants will wear light, white cotton shirts and pants with no underwear. We have ratings to consider here.

Also, I have a lot of faith that you would come up with quite a few really good and daring dares.

I did this, more or less, in one of the Italian forums. We were around 20 people from different cities and and we met in Rome, had dinner together.
One of the girls I had bonded on the boards stayed at my house for a week. I was living in Rome back then. We’re still friends today, and a couple of other people.
We also organized a party and celebrated the New Year together. We were 15 people, all from the same forum. It was great fun.

Mine is an ability to see things more clearly, less passionately, less emotionally, but with objectivity and understanding. Not without passion and emotion because all the fun in life would be lost. But giving all of us (me included) an ability to think before feeling.

I'll take the reverse. Often I am completely rational and don't take into account my feelings at all. I still remember after giving birth and being flooded with hormones looking at my husband asking "is this what it feels like to be emotional all the time? How do you stand it?".
