Trump is Destroying the United States of America

America WAS a great nation, but Trump has robbed us of our greatness

Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, which he once dismissed as a hoax, has been fiercely criticised at home as woefully inadequate to the point of irresponsibility.

Yet also thanks largely to Trump, a parallel disaster is unfolding across the world: the ruination of America’s reputation as a safe, trustworthy, competent international leader and partner.

Call it the Trump double-whammy. Diplomatically speaking, the US is on life support.

“The Trump administration’s self-centered, haphazard, and tone-deaf response [to Covid-19] will end up costing Americans trillions of dollars and thousands of otherwise preventable deaths,” wrote Stephen Walt, professor of international relations at Harvard.

“But that’s not the only damage the United States will suffer. Far from ‘making America great again’, this epic policy failure will further tarnish [its] reputation as a country that knows how to do things effectively.”

Ol Joe said he'll pick a WOMAN for VP, since the demo voters rejected at least 7 women. a few were minorities. the left chose an old white man

did he put covid infected folks

Imagine putting you life on the line and your president tells everyone that you're stealing supplies. He also tells the nation that you're exaggerating, that you're lying.

This is what it's like to live in Trump's America.

Really, it's fake news and a corrupt Justice Department that is trying to destroy the usa.

Not supporting the totalitarian communist utopia you desire doesn't make me a Russian bot.

Having a Russian bot telling me what I desire is a waste of your precious bile, Chump.

Impeached president trump has led the USA into terminal decline. Terminal. Look it up. It means no recovery.

Certainly the dementia raddled sleepy joe Biden is not the cure.

Empires decline and die. This decline started in the 1970s. Emperor Turnip's options are manage, mismanage, and deny the decline.

Trump demands personal protection from contracting COVID-19 as he downplays pandemic:

According to a report from CNN, Donald Trump is deathly afraid of getting the COVID-19 virus and is pressing White House aides to come up with ways to protect him from being infected while at the same time downplaying the health crisis to the public.

With reports that yet another White House staffer has tested positive for the virus, and Trump 2020 campaign staff in modified quarantine after the campaign rally in Tulsa last week, the president has insisted protections be ramped around him.

Under Trump America Has Lost Its Respect, Power And Influence

A world without U.S. leadership is no longer some vague and lamentable future possibility. We are seeing with our own eyes what such a world looks like, with the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic a prime example. In May, as the worldwide death toll surpassed a quarter of a million people, leaders from all over the world joined by videoconference to coordinate efforts to find and raise money for an effective vaccine. The summit was organized by the European Union and ended with pledges of more than $8 billion, along with commitments by world leaders to pool their efforts to find and distribute effective medications against a virus from which none of their citizens were safe. Other than its virtual nature, it was the kind of gathering we have always envisioned when we picture global cooperation to deal with a major emergency but for one striking fact: the absence of the world’s richest and most powerful country, the United States.

In the midst of the kind of global crisis that would usually lead much of the world to look to Washington for leadership, the chair normally reserved for the United States was empty.

The failure of the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump to build an international coalition to combat the coronavirus is in fact only the latest manifestation of a deeper and potentially lasting failure. Indeed, among all of Trump’s foreign-policy legacies, none may be more consequential than the damage he has done to America’s standing, influence, and power in the world by weakening the system of partnerships and alliances the country has created and relied on for decades. A world without U.S. leadership is no longer some vague and lamentable future possibility.Since the start of his presidency, Trump has abandoned multiple treaties and agreements, undermined the credibility of U.S. defense guarantees, bullied and belittled allies, and cozied up to dictators who threaten those allies and the United States. His “America First” doctrine—with its ominous echoes of the 1930s—and indifference to the rule of law at home and abroad have left allies wondering if they can count on the United States; many have started to look elsewhere for more reliable friends and partners. The result is a world in which the United States is less safe, less respected, and less able to deal with the enormous challenges it faces: climate change, pandemics, refugees, cyberattacks, election interference, nuclear proliferation, terrorism, modern technology, and the rise of China.

The collapse in global regard for the United States has been breathtakingly swift under this president. Even before collapsing further due to Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic, confidence in him to “do the right thing” in international affairs stood at just 29 percent among 32 countries polled—down from 74 percent in former President Barack Obama’s final year in office. Global confidence in Trump is significantly lower than in German Chancellor Angela Merkel (46 percent), French President Emmanuel Macron (41 percent), and Russian President Vladimir Putin (33 percent)—and just one point higher than in Chinese leader Xi Jinping (28 percent). Germans are now equally divided on whether the United States (37 percent) or China (36 percent) is their closest partner, while just 28 percent of Britons trust the United States to act responsibly. Confidence in Trump is only 36 percent in Japan, 32 percent in the United Kingdom, 28 percent in Canada, 28 percent in Brazil, 20 percent in France, 13 percent in Germany, and a mere 8 percent in Mexico.

Get ready for petulant Trump to punish America if Biden wins

What if Trump decides to punish America for not being sufficiently loyal to him, and that punishment is to drive America into a second Republican Great Depression while he’s handing the government over to Biden?

He now has the power to make this Depression, amplified by the pandemic, far, far worse than the Republican Great Depression of 1930, now that he’s cowed the Fed. It’s almost like it was set up in advance.

Jerome Powell is the first Fed chief in two generations who’s not an economist; instead, he’s a lawyer, a multimillionaire private equity banker and former partner with the Carlyle Group, whose BA was in politics.

And politics is where Powell shines. In a complete abrogation of the rules governing the Fed, he’s created roughly $7 trillion (one-third of the entire nation’s normal annual GDP) out of thin air and used much of that money to buy corporate stock and bonds to keep the stock market afloat.

In its 107-year history, the Fed has never, ever done this; some observers consider it illegal.

And the rest of the world is watching, as the dollar drops in value (and gold skyrockets) relative to other currencies, another sign that both inflation and economic disaster are on the horizon.

So, imagine that all the ballots are counted on, say, November 20, and Joe Biden is declared the winner. The next day, the Fed stops supporting the stock and corporate bond markets, and the Dow drops over the following few months to 7,800, roughly where it was in October 2008, the last time a Republican administration goosed the economy to keep things looking good until an election (although Bush mistimed it by a bit short of a year).

Making things even worse, Powell could announce that he’s actively working to drive up interest rates (a function related to inflation).

That would cause a tsunami of corporate bankruptcies (corporate debt is currently higher than any other time in American history) and a collapse of the housing market just as Biden is stepping into the White House.

Powell recently suggested he’s considering just such a move, as CNBC reported on August 4 with the headline: “The Fed is expected to make a major commitment to ramping up inflation soon.”

If Trump and Powell do this, Republican commentators will be all over TV and other media saying that the crash was entirely because Biden was elected. It’ll be a bald-faced lie, but the GOP has been peddling this kind of crap since the Reagan Revolution.

Hasn't Trump and his enablers put us there already?

How Trump waged war on his own government

Trump has waged an unwavering four-year war on the civil servants who have operated as the backbone of the U.S. federal government for more than a century. Career employees from diplomats to budget analysts have come under siege as they carry out the laws of Congress, attacked by a president with no government experience and portrayed as a “deep state” trying to undermine him.

Trump has targeted high-profile figures such as Anthony S. Fauci, a government scientist who has advised six presidents and whose dire warnings about the coronavirus pandemic angered him. He ridiculed Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the decorated Iraq War veteran and Ukraine expert on the National Security Council staff who testified in the inquiry that led to Trump’s impeachment — then he ordered him marched out of his office with his twin brother, another career military officer.

Vindman retired in July after what his attorney called a campaign of White House intimidation and retaliation.

Beyond these recognizable faces, employees across the government were banished to basement offices, denied promotions and excluded from decision-making. Government service has been undermined in the process, employees and observers say, endangering not just the government’s routine functions, such as ensuring clean water and fighting wildfires, but also its response to rare events like pandemics.

With luck, November 3rd will give career federal employees the strength to move from quietly undermining Trump to just flipping the bird at him--and the enforcement powers will join them.

And as people in states like Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma refuse to take the threat of the virus seriously, there's been a disquieting lack of testing and social distancing in these places. Expect the next big wave of deaths to cut through these parts of the country.

This doesn't look like winning to me.

You called it. Florida, Oklahoma and Texas are hot spots right now. Florida is especially bad. It's a nightmare down there.

Trump has refused to do anything about the coronavirus. He's told everyone in America to ignore the advice of doctors and nurses and told people to inject themselves with bleach. He's utterly abdicated his responsibility for protecting America from this killer virus. He's abandoned his leadership role.

Biden hasn't even been sworn into office yet and he's already putting together his pandemic task force.

That's utter bullshit and a hyper-partisan lie.
There's a reason that a vaccine is all but ready to be delivered.

Has nothing to do with Pence or warp speed either - Pfizer said they took no money or help from the Fed - and worked conjointly with British pharma firm.

So there. - Read something other than newsmax or breitbart once in a while.

Trump Is Sowing Chaos in His Wild Bid to Cling to an Unsalvageable Presidency

Truly, we have descended into a most dangerous form of farce. Donald Trump, dead-bang loser of the 2020 presidential election, is squatting in the White House like a petulant grease clog that just won’t clear the drainpipe, trying to figure out where he can go to war — literally — to “save” his unsalvageable presidency.

The ragged remnants of his military advisers dogpiled him when he drooled over a map of Iran recently, and now he’s eyeballing the abrupt withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan… not due to a thought-out plan for dismantling U.S. militarism, mind you. He appears bent on sowing chaos for the sake of chaos and undermining the incoming Biden administration, period.

That endeavor — Screw Biden — is the only policy this shabby bag-of-ass administration is bothering to pursue anymore. Well, except for the lawsuits, that is. The Trump campaign’s attempts to overturn the election in various courtrooms have fared about as well as Kong did when he tried to lay claim to the Empire State Building. All that’s left is the long, long fall.

Trump’s administration may be winding down, but his cruelty, recklessness and cronyism are not. Today Public Citizen unveiled a new web tool tracking some of his most corrupt, norm-breaking, dangerous and unjust actions during the lame duck session.

From attempting to steal the election, to gutting critical regulations that protect the public interest, Trump continues to put himself, big corporations and his cronies over the rest of us – and our democracy. The web tool shows how Trump is:

Sabotaging the transition of power to the incoming Biden administration;
Rolling back regulatory protections;

Dirty dealing to enrich himself, reward allies, punish enemies and burrow loyalists into the executive branch;

Considering pardons for family and friends;

Issuing last minute executive orders that harm the public;

Escalating his war on climate and our environment; and

Taking cruel and reckless actions that harm our country and regular people.

Seems like the impeached one term President isn’t concerned about Putin’s cyber assault on our government. I guess it’ll go away just like COVID did.
