Which would be perfectly legal, assuming Ivanka could show she operated as an independent contractor. Claimed the income and paid tax on it.
Pretty difficult, I think judging by how involved she is in the Trump organisation. Still they could have asked for a ruling up front, and acted upon that.
To me ( I owned a company) doing what Trump has to lower his Taxable income is pretty standard fair in this case.
There were many more questionable deductions in the article than paying his daughter.

When was this, though? She's been a government employee since he entered office. You can't double dip this way. What tax returns are those consulting fees on? (I don't know; I'm asking.)
From what I read in the report, this occurred in returns prior to the 2016 election.

Ah, yes, I've since seen a report. The issue, though, was that she was an employee of the Trump firm and then also paid consulting fees. Salaried staff is staff, not a consultant in tax law. So the deduction claimed for the consulting fee is being challenged as bogus.

This statement expects everyone to accept the view that America's Democracy
has become so corrupt, that it needs to be put in the trash bin, and replaced.
George W, Bush's supporters in the finance world trashed the system, and Obama was
sent in to clean up the mess. After much anxiety, belt-tightening, and loss, on the part
of The People, hope became reality.
The bailout was made bitter by the arrogance and greed that Wall Street could not conceal.
The Occupy Wall Street was a series of protests marches that began
on September 17, 2011, in Zuccotti Park, located in New York City's
Wall Street financial district, against economic inequality.
Our Democracy did not become over-burdened with coruption until Trump
invited it into the White House.
The gremlins shouted about The Swamp- But, all that was proved, it that
Trump removed every competent, educated, experienced expert in their

Rep. Alexandria Ocazio-Cortez tweeted that one provision in the bill would
make illegal streaming a felony. She wrote that, “Members of Congress have
not read this bill. It’s over 5000 pages, arrived at 2pm today, and we are told
to expect a vote on it in 2 hours. This isn’t governance. It’s hostage-taking.”
She’s right. A democratic republic requires transparency as the governing
process unfolds.

They did not capture Mike Pence or Nancy Pelosi.
They did not take possession of the Electoral College votes.
They did not destroy them. They did not stop the certification.
They just delayed it. They did not deliver to a second term
in office for Trump.
Trump has sent legal challenges to 2020 Vote.
What was the point ?
Each case flawed, some of them ridiculous.
All failed. Not one case changed the vote.
Joe Biden is our president.
D.C.’s Metropolitan Police and the Capitol Police paid the price
of giving Trump's illegal civilian militia enough rope to hang
themselves.
White Rage did not blossom into a firestorm nationwide, because Trump's

Attacking the Capitol was an outrage, but that was a distraction.
The deaths caused by Trump's callousness shall be mourned.
America returns to coping with coronavirus, and mourns more deaths.
