We had takeout Mexican last night, Margaritas included. Otherwise, it would of been something on the grill, but it was not a nice evening to be grilling outdoors.

We've done a little takeout for the sole purpose of supporting some of our favorite local small biz coffee houses and cafe's. They're suffering.

Other than that, we cook. I Love Cooking and it's been fun trying new dishes.

I got the "Are you working tomorrow?" question last evening. I just rolled my eyes and said, "It's Friday, of course."

The kids are jumping on the trampoline and I’m retrieving badminton birdies from the workshop roof for them.

They’ll be getting to their school work and I’ll head into my home office, but it doesn’t feel like Mon-Fri without their morning-getting-ready-for-school routines.

Here, wet is the only way you can dig up anything in the heavy clay soil without some equipment. Mud is heavier to move, though.

Depening on the gardener being wet, whether singing in the rain in a thin, cotton chemise or simply wet is lovely to think about. ..

No much clay to be found hereabouts. We have sandier soil.

Wetness keeps the mind occupied.

If its REALLY wet and you have a pressure washer. Use it and the water pressure to dig the hole for you. Sometimes aids the root exposing process without the wrist jarring from the shovel as you strike a root.

It's drizzly wet, not quite soaking. Dammit, no pressure washer but I may be about to borrow one. I'm worried about killing this poor thing. Plants aren't my forte.

That's an interesting idea. I've used a garden hose that way. Never thought to use that kind of pressure.

. . .I seem to be running a couple of clicks slower on my CPU than you this morning.

Oh, wow. Homemade Gelato? That sounds amazing.

It's been a couple few years since I made it so we'll see how it goes. This is the Sicilian variety - no eggs. Cream, milk, vanilla bean, sugar, corn starch and a dash of salt. It's cooling in the fridge now. In a few hours I'll put it through the sieve to remove the vanilla beans and any lumps so I can process it in my ice cream maker.

I'm just here to eat Mona's taco.

;) Taco Tuesday on Friday?

So you have to have an ice cream maker do make gelato? That's something I've never owned.
