I see people out walking with no person within 100 yards and they're wearing masks. That, I don't believe is necessary, but still the person is comfortable enough in the mask.

When I was in Kathmandu, everyone who was outside for the day wore masks downtown. The dust and particulates from burning garbage was just f-ing nasty.

I've always thought more people should wear masks whenever they leave the house.

Some folks may just ‘set it and forget it’ when heading out the door, like how some wear safety glasses all day in the shop and not just at the machine or when using tools.

Could be habitual for some now too, like the lady I watched clamping her anti-theft bar on her steering wheel, after parking in the middle row of three after boarding a ferry, with a dozen or so cars in front of, and behind her.

Humans are creatures of habit.

You can't trust ferries.

I see masks, I look at the calendar, cuz I figure it must be Halloween.

I try not to laugh at them even though they look like clowns.

Booze Hut was open inside today, no more Drive Thru Only.

Applied for one of the 'temporary enumerator' spots with the Census back in January. Hadn't heard anything until yesterday when they called to say they'll be filling openings in August.

The weirdness of visiting my mother and having to sit in the garden, two metres away, and no cups of tea!

The weirdness of visiting my mother and having to sit in the garden, two metres away, and no cups of tea!

Uncivilized, eh?

If you were sitting in the garden here, you be being blasted with 40 mph wind driven rain, hardy tea sipping weather, outdoors.

I'm quite happy for the rain, though. The spring dust needs to be knocked down.

I'm thinking about writing a science fiction novel. It takes place in an alternate world, where every thing is the same, except people still shop at KMart.
