The FBI relied heavily on media reporting, often based on leaks, to justify taking additional steps in Crossfire Hurricane, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation analysis of public records.

FBI officials relied on the so-called news hooks to conduct interviews with Michael Flynn.

A series of news hooks also led to the publication of the now-debunked Steele dossier. The FBI relied on the publication of the dossier itself to provide cover to conduct interviews for Crossfire Hurricane.

And James Comey himself crafted his own news hook to spur the appointment of a special counsel to take over Crossfire Hurricane after he was fired.

It was started by legacy media to try and discredit internet-based, upstart reporters who were exposing the holes in various narratives being pushed by the legacy outlets on behalf of progressives causes and candidates.

It was turned back on them because of how often they are either used by sources or complicit in promoting false narratives like the above. I happen to think it is more the latter than the former since they never seem to burn their "sources" when a story does not bear out or is shown to be a fabrication.

The "authorities" leak something to the press, who duly report it as "investigative journalism." Now that it's appeared in the press the "authorities" have to look into the matter because it's soooo serious.

And the problem is is that there aren't any investigative journalists out there any more. The IG chooses at random 29 FISC applications and can't find one with proper Woods file or one at all. Why shouldn't we suspect the FISC wasn't just a rubber stamp for the corrupted FBI as well? I think we need an IG review of every FISC warrant application since day one to get a feel for how or if they protected our constitutional rights from the beginning and then start trying and executing people who didn't think it was important enough to do so.

There is 1 thing all those arguments have in common. Thus begging the question that if you're trying to argue that something doesn't exist, WHY are you arguing about it? The mere fact that we can formulate an argument for both sides of the subject issue is itself evidence of existence. The only remaining issue is the quantitative degree of such existence - ie whether God is in fact "the all powerful creator" or merely a theological topic.
