Estimates are that ten to twenty million people will continue to work at home, even after there is a vaccine.

That means 10-20Mil won't be driving, buying gas, paying tolls, riding subways, or buses.

That means 10-20Mil won't be stopping for a Starbucks, lunch out, snack, after work beers.

That means 10-20Mil desks won't be needed, leaving office parks decimated.

Good luck to all of those companies waiting for the Happy Talk from above to magically return everything to normal.

I don’t know about those numbers, but yeah. Companies are going to rethink the pros and cons of brick and mortar overhead. And maybe school snow days will become a thing of the past.

And, it is likely that in any reprisals of the play, South Pacific, 10 to 20 million Americans will view the song "Happy Talk" via video streaming, not in person at an actual theater.

It's not so much that it is Trump's fault, but more like a poignant reminder of his childlike magical thinking that captured the wishful thinking of spoiled and stupid people across the heartland.

Keep on dreaming, Deplorable snowflakes. Cuz if you don't have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream-come-true? :rose:

Incoherent 'orange man bad'.....get a new act.

Shit's going to change, some for the better, some for the worse.

Point is it's time to get on with whatever those changes are, can't hide in our houses forever.

Fuck yeah, macho man. Fill up the bars and the tattoo parlors-- really get this virus raging. Sure fire way to "win" in November.

And you say I should learn to be more respectful

Already have an appointment in two weeks to get 5 hrs in on the back piece.

The virus is going to run it's course, intentionally and forcibly collapsing the economy at gunpoint isn't going to stop that.

But it will kill far more people than the virus. Just something else for you dishonestly blame Trump for and get the rest of us to pay for.

Sure fire way to "win" in November.

Maybe, maybe not.

I think his having respected states rights and liberal ideals in this case is what will help him win. He stepped back and in very short order the (D)'s showed everyone who the real fascist are.

The fact that he's running against a serial rapist Alzheimer's patient that is the embodiment of everything the (D)'s progressive faction hates the most.....I think is what's going to get him re-elected.

Should have gone with Gabbard who would have destroyed Trump on stage/in debates, been a landslide favorite of the fence riding middle and pulled from the Trump and the (R)'s.

Good point

Obviously Trump's fault. :)

That is a good point. It clearly is Trump's fault. Making things worse he is using fake news to make it seem like China had something to do with it. Good thing we have Anderson Pooper to give it to us straight. Well not straight but given it to us anyway.

Who said anything about magic?

I have not heard any happy talk from "above" saying things will return to "normal" due to magic. Things will not go back to the way they were. This is a pivotal moment in history. But just because soy boys will not be sipping an over priced coffee drink from Starfucks doesn't mean that people will stop finding new ways to make money. Companies that used to make horse drawn buggies shifted and made new products. The economy will recover because of hard work and smart people with some spin and drive. Not magic. President Trump understands that very well. It might require cutting back on how much money is wasted giving away free stuff to lazy bums that live in their moms basement. And they will have to build a wall to control in the influx criminals. But you can't make an omelet unless you break a few egg heads. Let's revisit this topic next year and see how well the new Trump economy is doing. Also, remember the stock market will soar once some of the Obama people go to prison because that will give smart investors confidence in the future.

Already got a serial rapist and liar in office. Sucks when you openly support what you condemn huh?

Go away, dp4shelly.

They're going to rethink the age-old parable
of when the rat's away, the mice will play?

I really have my doubts as to their desire to relinquish that control
just as I had my misgivings about handing a lot of control
over to the government in a moment of panic...

It's like guns.
You give a (true) individual
the right to possess a gun and
then, to take it back, it's prying from cold, dead fingers.

All three examples are really the same example.

I wouldn't know.

The only people openly supporting what they condemned are the #MeeToo and #believeAllWomen folks that are now supporting Joe Biden. :D

You see I was an innocent until proven guilty kinda guy from the get go, rejected #meetoo and was immediately labeled a pro-rape, rape enabling, misogynist Nazi Trumpster!!!

There's just no excuse for people like you...

To compare Joe Biden and Bill Clinton to Donald Trump???

That's like comparing St. Francis of Assisi to Adolf Freaking Hitler!

Not hide, but work. Part of the experiment for a number of companies rebooting is having employees work from home instead of in open offices and cubicle cities. Some companies have been doing a hybrid for years...like UnitedHealthcare, for example.

Other people adapt to the current situation by engaging in essential work in a way that accommodates social distancing. My businesses have never been in more demand, and I am on the road almost every day delivering food and picking up construction supplies for a jobs list that keeps growing and growing.

All of this can be done now with actual social distancing. It makes me cringe that people are still clinging to the position that changing vocations and adapting to social distancing are impossible, and your only other alternative is to hide out in your house. Quit looking backwards and recognize the new opportunities.

The people who will lose are the ones who want to try to rapidly make things the way they were four months ago when there was little or no awareness of the pandemic. This Fall could be a train wreck if too many people resist adapting to the current realities.

Okay Governor Cuomo,

Just how does everyone who wants to work score an "essential" job?

Were they having trouble filling positions before?
Was unemployment too low?

If we shitcan every single unessential job,
will we go back to where were were
when this started?

^^^Fool still does not understand that shifting demands will ultimately cause the shit-canning.
