Expect to see a lot of green screen work, very little atmosphere (no extras in the background unless CGI), and many phone call scenes. There will be limited episodes per season. Some shows won't be back at all as the studios cut back on our production staff.

It will be as if Itchy and Scratchy were canceled. I'll meet you outside. :)

Eh, most of what is on TV is crap.

If you mean "most" it's easy to agree, considering how much there is. But can you find quality dramatic story-telling and non-fiction documentaries and other great programming? You can. In vast numbers.

You can't really say the same about Uncle Vinny's YouTube channel.

i expect a fair bit of cheap, easy animation. i know colbert tried it at least once for a monologue. it wasn't very good.

Most of the highest rated TV shows are crime TV and reality TV. Crap.

I'm not sure about Uncle Vinny but things from Bon Apetit, Try Guys and a few others are highly entertaining.

Apparently you're cranky. Go watch some crime TV reruns.

I'm not cranky. I'm saying there's a fuck ton of good television on networks and on streaming services. It's too easy to say "it's mostly crap" when you can't really compare "Upload" and "Good Girls" and "Big Little Lies" with "Real Housewives of Pick Your Shit Hole".

i'd mock you for watching the try guys, but i'm literally watching a try channel(or irish people try blank) video right now so i don't really have a leg to stand on.

You sound cranky.

If you're not going to make sense wait until you're sober before posting.

"try guy"? What the fuck are you talking about?

i'd explain it to you, but i won't. maybe later when you're not being an obtuse cunt.

Nah, just emotional. I probably need to smile more.

ETA.... hahaha I thought that was toward me. And although I could try to be slick and edit it out to look all smooth and stuff, I'm not gonna bother. I'll just edit here admitting my mistake and take a toke.

Party on Garth.

the filming's done but i'm waiting for them to be able to get the editing and all that jazz done for the mid-season ep of the walking dead

gonna have to wait patiently till they can work safely. i NEED to see this episode :cattail:

TV? In 2021? You're serious? I haven't watched tv for like, ten years? Oh, there was that one show I seen a few series with my dad between tennis and snooker. It had a charming Lucifer run from his own hell to play detective in a big city. But even as little I saw it started to get repetitive.

I watch independent scifi shorts sometimes, like Dust, or Omeleto, for example.

I'm thinking one will find more original content on the net.

I keep waiting for the first killer entertainment idea to come out of this pandemic. Aside from TikTok, which is more geared towards the grandchildren I don't have.

Nah, TikTok is just the new Vine. :D

You can still watch it, but it's mainly comedic bursts of funny candy to enjoy when you need to take a break from the mundane. No actual series or platforms are being created from it, only promoting the creativity of individuals. Not sure you can really put it under "killer entertainment idea."
