Has anyone seen Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Issue this year???
I just learned they have gone monthly issue, instead of weekly.
I will say, it is a much nicer format.

I've never seen sports illustrated. Is the swimsuit education is a special treat for those who want to ogle flesh but don't want to be seen buying porn? Or nostalgia for the days when that was the case?

It's the Pirrelli calendar without the class. :)

Sports Illustrated is a good all around sports magazine.

The swim suit edition has been around as a yearly issue for decades. A lot of top models careers have been launched and have been featured over the years. Used to be a magazine feature, but became a stand alone edition. Probably still around because it makes a lot of money.

The infamous, annual swimsuit release is an anachronistic edition at this point. Though once risque the changes in communications and information distribution (including visual data) has made the swimsuit edition more like an old Sear's catalog release as the internet and online shopping took over the consumer's attention.

You've never been in a garage?

:)

Many moons ago, when young Pete was learning to weld, the shops were filled with posters. Everything and anything. Many, many moons. As time moved forward HR policies began to put string bikinis on the moons. The stringier the better.

Today is a different world. My workplace is much less hostile. There are no heavenly bodies pinned to the weld curtains. There are no overpriced, shitty tire calendars.

Not if I can possibly avoid it. And, when I do, i go to the sort of garage that keeps customers insulated from the vulgarity of actual work, grease and men with foul mouths, by restricting them to the pleasant reception area.

I go to a garage where 4 of the five mechanics, the auto electrician and the boss are women; and their command of language is every bit as foul as any achieved by their male counterparts. Good mechanics tho.' :)

Never trust a garage with a posh reception area. Some fucker has to pay for that shit.

Dolf, when it comes to cars, you should always take sean's pronouncements as Gospel.

Even I know that.

Doesn't he have a Ph.D. in Lorry Lolligagging ?

Yeah, loud exclamations like, "fuck this shit" "who stole my God Damn 3/8 wrench" Who's the dumb fuck that owns this piece of shit" "hey Bill call that bitch back and tell her she's been driving around with her emergency brake on" is like a sledge hammer to the ears of refined female customers.:D;)

Yeah that's how a lot of mechanics talk, I got used to it but you put a woman in that environment and she adapts or dies. Usually in my experience they are limited to the reception desk anyhow.

Essentially yes and when I was a kid it was a once a year treat where my dad would buy it for me. This was the bad old days of the 90's when bringing up a picture of Carmen Electra took more time than she'd been on the planet.
