We havent opened up alot of things but some things have opened. All this staying home isnt much different for me as I am a homeschool mom anyway but I would like some normalcy back in my life with alltthe news and such....

I suspect what we used to call normality is a long way from returning, if it ever does.

Retired here so our only change has been not going out for coffee daily. And the dates of course...lol.

We hear the same thing after every crisis this country has faced. I remember Grandma talking that way about the depression era. Even after 9/11. The rage that was expressed. Now some areas are electing Muslims to Congress. And before anyone gets their panties all wadded up, there are radicals among them that can't wait until our way of life is in a revised history book.

Just wanted to reach out and express my hello and appreciation for the beautiful BBWs out there. Hope everyone is safe and doing well. This has been a very fun thread to read and will continue to follow along from here in colorado.

It is the age old danger isn't it, when cracks appear radicals of whatever source will seek to exploit and destroy.

Exactly. I read a post this morning in an "American's have given up their rights" thread on FB that made me laugh. The guy was talking about how he had to stand in line to get into a Home Depot. They were only allowing 50 at a time into the store.

He spent 3 paragraphs railing about how these 'safeguards' have taken away our rights and how we are all sheep for following them.

Yet he stood in line for 30 minutes at Home Depot.

I almost asked why he didn't bust the line and go into the store instead of being a "sheep". It would have been a blast debating him on it.

Good morning to all the beautiful curvy ladies who post here.. Hope you are staying safe in these unusual times... :rose::rose:

In similar boat to you but in the UK. A similar boat. I’m looking forward to getting back outside.

Afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. After a few days of rain it’s nice to see some sunshine

Monday trip to the market:

Fresh fruits and vegetables a plenty!!!
No flour - cake, bread, or ap
Some toilet paper, but we still don't need it
Only apple turnovers, no cherry or raspberry for the underweight son
Plenty of meat still
white bread was there, but not many hamburger rolls
Milk is plenty, local farmers ramping up giving it away soon

And local orchard is making sanitizer, beer, and cider donuts, in addition to their hard cider line of alcohol.

We still haven't been in a grocery store in 3 weeks or so. But there were some substitutions on our pick up order today. Regular banana's for organic bananas. Aren't all banana's organic? Two other ones but just going to a different brand name.

We did go out to eat for lunch to a sit down restaurant. We were the only customers in the house. They had every other table Xed out. Paper throw away menu's. Server's/cooks in masks and gloves. Everyone wiping stuff down.

Didn't see any local eateries open today. Went by our regular place but may have just been to late for them.

My part of the start is going to reopen first, before NYC. And only if the numbers of confirmed cases drop. We'll still do curbside pick up.

In our area, there are 4 active cases that are quarantined. No ages given but if I were a gambling gal I'd bet nursing homes in the area. We've had one death locally and that was someone that had moved back to the area after the lockdown started. There's a thin line to walk for awhile. We all have to decide what's important for each of us.

I'm 2 hours-ish north of NYC. As of yesterday:

Schenectady County health officials confirm there are now 426 positive COVID-19 cases in the county.

Of those, 24 are hospitalized which includes all hospitalizations regardless of county of residence. There are reportedly zero people under investigation who are currently hospitalized. There are 682 isolation, 179 of those are symptomatic,, with 241 recoveries.

Sadly the county reports 22 people who tested positive for the virus have died.

Deaths

Over 60: 3
Over 70: 6
Over 80: 7
Over 90: 6
