It is pretty flipping horrible and I'm not going to sugar coat it, my immune system is pretty bad (due to permanent meds) and I was more than set to be one of the one's that would pass away.
I am not saying this to scare people but please please please if there is the slightest chance you think you have it don't rely on self medication and staying isolated to deal with it. You will at minimum need pain meds if not Iv fluids.

No it's not the flu and shouldn't even be put in the same category in my opinion. The best I can describe it as is pleurisy, Pneumonia (without the goo) and strep throat all in one. Hell I would take all 3 (which I have had before) at the same time over Covid.
