Thursday is my regular grocery shopping day. I don’t need a ton, but I still want some idea of what might be not available, to get some idea what I may have to call an audible on. So if you have had grocery trips recently, any info would be appreciated.

Go!

If your cut in front of someone getting toilet paper you might end up stuffed inside a lawn and leaf bag by the folks going for the last roll.

I don't know. Depends where you go. I went to the gourmet grocery store near me and they were pretty well stocked. When I went on Sunday the only things on my list I couldn't get were eggs and bananas. They had limits on stuff like bleach, sanitizer, bottled water, and tp. But they had mostly everything. Today I went back for eggs and bananas. It was like a regular day. I think the hysteria is wearing off.

I sure hope so. I have had plenty of TP for my bunghole on hand, a few bars of antibacterial soap, and I mostly drink water from my fridge’s dispenser, anyway. I am mainly wondering about meats and poultry

So. Online list time...chicken breast. Sausage. Pasta sauce. Fajita seasoning packet. Eggs. Bananas. ;)

Luckily, I don’t eat nanas, and pasta sauce isn’t on my meal plan. I really need only a dozen eggs

I stopped on Sunday night. The store that I stopped at in central PA was well stocked with everything except bread, TP and soup. They did a great job keeping everything stocked. All of the customers were well behaved. Can’t say the same for when they closed the liquor stores last night.

I don’t drink much anymore (Vegas trips excluded), so I have enough booze on hand

I heard that stores were running out of condoms too. Guess everybody's thinking ahead!

They may aswell start thinking with that head, because the thinking the majority of people are doing with the other head is shite

Curiously I went to the grocery late Sunday morning and the only thing I noticed they were really low on was eggs. The bread was picked over but there was still a lot left. I never bothered to check the TP or hand sanitizer isles.

I'm fairly certain that beachbabies right about the stores being restocked on foods by now.

And as an aside. No one was buying much from the fresh veggies selections.

Cool, I usually get a few of those. When I lived in Tn., there used to be a run on Kroger’s when an inch of snow was predicted. I shudder to think what it’s like now

Really similar in a lot of ways, only more so. The thing that really blew me away was the toilet paper hoarding. That one was just pure insanity.

Well, I have a napkin and wipe surplus, too. I am good

You may want to go early in the morning is all I would suggest. Most places are closing earlier to allow employees to restock and clean. If you have around $30 worth to buy, you can order online and do curbside pickup. I did that last week before all this started - it's nice not to have to deal with the mob, plus it helps you "distance".

Welp, I am halfway there. Went to ShopRite right when it opened at 6. Still 6 to midnight, no special hours for older adults. But no returns and no rain checks. There were some cases of water, limit one. The cheap loaves of bread were gone. No ground beef, most of the fresh chicken selection was picked over. No TP, but as stressed before, I have no need. There was some cold/flu stuff to be had; I bought a DayQuil/NyQuil combo as a precaution. Decent egg selection. Other than that, not much less than normal, stock-wise. I was easily one of the youngest shoppers there, and I have a feeling there were a lot more than usual for this god forsaken time of day.

Will be at Aldi when it opens at 9. It now closes at 5, four hours earlier than normal, for sanitizing and restocking

I had to go to three different stores yesterday to try and get what I needed. I had to get a different kind of bread I usually buy, but I was able to find TP, so I consider my shopping trip a win.

Yay, TP!

I usually go to both ShopRite and Aldi anyway. Aldi has better prices on a lot of the basics, but it is not nearly big enough to have all my needs

I went to Giant,ShopRite and Aldi. Aldi had nothing on their shelves. Nothing.
