Those plants put billion dollar scrubbers to be able to burn coal when Obama EPA regulations took effect. They burned coal. Well into the Trump Era. That coal got cheaper until it reached its ultimate diminishing return, it could no longer compete with wind and solar. This isn't some article I've been reading, I worked through the changes. They only converted to burning gas because #1. It's fuking cheaper than coal. #2. It's easier on their aging boilers and injectors. #3. It's cheaper to retrofit from coal to gas for reason #1. Keep reading your biased articles, I know the truth. Plus, you think these giant power companies care what fuel they consume for the purpose of selling electricity?
