How does this make sense? Jay Inslee is going to announce tomorrow morning that he's putting the kibosh on all events with more than 250 people. But this won't include schools and stores. Meanwhile schools are closing like crazy in the Seattle area because one person will get the Corona virus on a bus or in a classroom so it all has to be disinfected.

How did this numb nuts come up with this number? This will be a mandate so no more sports, conventions, concerts, etc.

Yeah. Lets throw a party with 249 people. We'll all be safe. Right?

Just throwing this out there but; most small scale family (or small companies) events are in the 250 person range and under. Let us say a Wedding, or Anniversary, heaven forbid a Funeral.

Given that most attendees will have met or may know most of the other people in attendance; should the need to trace back to the source of the corna virus, there is a good chance the people there could break down most of the names of the people they came in contact with.

So by using a small number, your remove most general public type events, but still leave it open enough for the small sentiment type gatherings occurring around work or family.

This is a sensible response.

It lets restaurants try to stay afloat. The University of Virginia, where I live, with campus land all around me, has set 100 as the maximum for a gathering--and it's canceled everything I was scheduled to go to for the next two months and sent the students home.

Maybe that's it. Thanks!

Restaurants are closing right and left here. Workers are supposed to work from home so the ones near Microsoft, Amazon and such have no customers. It's sad.

I'll be checking that out next week one night when there's a double reason to do a restaurant. It's true, though, that now every single other event on my schedule for the next four weeks has been canceled.
