writing fiction in the modern digital environment...

Can contact me privately and discuss in greater length and detail - and believe me, if you act as if you know what the fuck you are talking about, and you don't...

I hope this isn't a silly question, but by the modern digital environment- what exactly do you mean? Like being handy with computers? The ins and outs of creating an ebook? Advertising and social media platforms etc?

Not to be snarky, but isn't it simple supply and demand economics. We havent heard back from Bristol' Rum about being official taste-tasters yet either.

"Making a living" on writing erotica isn't something more than one in a couple of hundred thousand writers can manage. Making a little bit is attainable by good writers with a good market sense. There are other awards than the mostly unattainable "making a living from it" to writing erotica. If you are going to be that one in a couple of hundred thousand writers who can make a living off writing erotica, you find that out by working with much lower sights on what you want to get out of the experience. SERIOUSLY.

As a comparison Spotify supposedly pay a band $7.50 per 1000 plays. So if I use that model, and looking at my story with 50k views, I’ll get $375!

Don’t get me wrong, if you have a way that will allow me to retire soon without winning lotto, count me in!

Before spinning wheels with just anyone offering services/advice that involves your time/pocketbook, be sure to check them out. Anyone can hang a shingle out.

Frankly, this seems like those ads offering to teach you how to be a successful real estate investor, when it's really just a way to successfully separate you from your money.

Simply send us twenty seven dollars and we will explain to you how to earn one dollar for each word you write on this site.

We promise :)

Jamie... You mentioned 1. SUPPLY and 2. DEMAND. There are four ways to 'get into' a market:

1. The right to buy

2. The right to sell

3. The obligation to buy

4. The obligation to sell

Supply and Demand economics is fine in a free and fair open market economy. Which means naturally that Google Search does not use their own proprietary (and secret) algorithms, right, to procure sales for your book on Amazon... Right? RIGHT??

No. Indeed OF COURSE they use proprietary algorithms, and they are thus effectively gate-keepers for this theoretically 'supply/demand' dynamic which is assumed to be there.

I'm only interested to discuss this matter with those who really care, and who are enough 'up the street' already to know not to waste time raking over silly and pedestrian stuff and who are 'hitting all the bells' with the crucial factors in what they themselves wish to talk over and think through. Everyone who is even vaguely experienced in marketing these things already knows what the 'issues' and 'problems' and barriers are. If they TELL ME what they are encountering, then we will both know who is on what page.

If they ASK ME certain things it will still be pretty obvious 'where they are at' in the journey.

Some people - as you can see from the comments - are already at their journey's end. And if you like, you can get gratuitous advice and information from them and thereby arrive at the same place they are already at; and then you must thank them because they expect it, for helping you reach their luxurious present estate.
