Plan was to shake off the left arm, and pick it back up, but I couldn’t. So, I had to get another screw in on the other side, completely blind, backwards, over my head. Took me like 20 minutes to finally get it. I swore that was the last time. Obviously, it was not.

So, 2 jobs ago for this same thing, I stated my concern about the weight to the project manager in private, he said he would get me another set of hands, and come the night, nope. The last time I did this type of work, I forgot something little for the project, something I probably wasn’t going to catch in checks, nor were the other people in checks, and someone who does the same job in another state called my cell to let me know. Coworkers around the country held a meeting to watch me on security cameras doing this work, and were laughing their asses off. Yeah, I so gave the security camera the finger while thanking for pointing out my error. Now, I don’t think the company is purposely trying to fuck with me, it is just the people in power and the project management have no clue what we are actually doing. They wouldn’t recognize the equipment if they were looking at it. They don’t understand what they are asking. Truth is sometimes they go a year without scheduling me on this type of thing, so it isn’t like I am even bitching to the same person as the project manager changed.

Anyway, boss IMs me and tells me that mine will probably be canceled. I say great because I hate this. I go in again about how heavy this shit is. My boss knows the equipment, but I have wondered if he really gets I am a middle aged chick, we have never met. I hate to say it, but this is the one place I do think it is unfair to hold me to the standard he holds himself and the rest of the team to. There are no other woman, so I am the lone voice in this. It might not be that heavy to them, but it is so hard for me. He tells me that everyone has been complaining about it, and they have said they will have 2 people do this type of project going forward, so hopefully things will be better this year. Number 1, I do hope it is true, this makes me very happy. Number 2, I am glad that it isn’t just me. I thought the watching me on security camera thing started because they realized that it would have to be entertainment worthy, but now I am wondering of they were bitching amongst themselves about it being hard, and one was like how the fuck does she do it, so they decided to tune in to see how I was accomplishing this and if they could learn something, and well, it was just funnier than they ever dreamed.
