The weekly ABC...Themed thread:

Not a Rye person myself. Harry’s Razors are becoming more popular over here.

Rye is can acquired taste I think.

I love your little lessons :) Still a fan of the rumpled fur, so are we going to see you shave for 'S'? How's Harry's treating you??

Thanks Tali. Yeah, I'm all about education. I see you found the Fur thread.

You'll just have to wait until next week. :)

As I said to someone else, I had been a Gilette man from 14 or 15 until last April. I got tired of the ridiculous price of blades. Best shave I've ever had. Every time. As an aside, I noticed one on my son's bathroom counter at Christmas. I asked how he liked it. His girlfriend piped up and said it was hers. Harry's says they don't recommend their razors for women. I pointed that out. We then had a ten minute conversation about shaving. (She loves it. No, I don't know how much she shaves). Definitely the strangest conversation of the holidays.

R is for Rye and Rumpled (Taken the same time as Q). In this case, Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye. Canadian Whisky is referred to here as "Rye" generically. It does not have to contain a specific amount of rye to be called that(in the US it must be 51%). However, some of the major distillers have discovered that people really like rye-forward whisky.

Thus endeth the lesson.

R is also for Razor, but Shave starts with S, so you'll have to wait...

I don't like the look of that razor... You are not going to shave, are you?!

I did find the fur thread, thank you for starting it!!!

Razors are such a crap shoot because everyone is shaped differently and needs certain angles to be effective. My razor of choice that has never nicked me or given me razor burn is Gillette's Venus razor. Anyone else's experience may vary, but I love them. :)

This is like a quid pro quo. Very inviting direction.

Quid pro quo, oh yes :)

Is that an invite to follow the arrow, I’ll collect the Quids on the way down.

Start at the top, Todge ;)

Oh that’s a lovely money shot!! 💋

I hadn't thought of the term 'money shot' when I came up with the idea, but it does describe it

Oh now there’s a lovely way to count out all the loose change in my pocket, beautiful Numi xx

I'd be impressed if you carried that many quids, PB, they're really heavy!

And I hope you're OK, lovely man...

Fantastically they are pointing the way on our lovely Numi!!

I had to keep really still. I really wanted to laugh, and at one point I thought I was about to sneeze

Absolutely stunning!!!

Thank you!
Not only did I learn something new about quid I also learned an innovative use for them as well. :)

The picture of the coins is excellent, I don't know if you used a lightbox or not but very well done.

But the picture of you with the coins in place is exquisite. My compliments to the lovely model and her talented photographer. :rose:

No light box (what are they?), just light from the window, surprisingly. And thank you. He has a good eye for the right angle

Wow! Love both the idea and the execution. :rose:

Thank you PK!

Another "money shot"? LOL. Very nice. Those one quid coins resemble Canadian Toonies, two dollar coins. Maybe for "T"...

Aha! Yes! We also have a two quid coin, it's two colour, just like yours. Very similar to the two euro coin.

We're definitely quids in with that shot. Lucky the money wasn't on the nail!

Quids in, I like that, thanks Pol!

Thank you. I will see him later today. Let's see. (After looking through ABC Lit properly for the first time in a couple of days, I got so turned on had to make a booty call.) Maybe posing for the camera becomes part of the fun...

An arrow drawn from a quiver and laid where I would love to be. The lighting is wonderful and does justice to the model.

Thank you! I love that you mention the lighting - several lighting options were considered, I reckon the right one was selected

Now that is very creative.... well done!!!

Thank you!

Love it, Tan, that's great shot. A furry tease, an informative bottle.

Um. The shaving. Not the fur, tell us the fur is safe

For R it was an easy choice: red rose

Gorgeous, just gorgeous. The rose, despite being the colourful thing, is not what draws the eye...

Thank you Numi. Yes, the fur is safe. I'll post a new fur pic today or tomorrow here. Fur.

The razor is to keep the beard in check and uh, well you'll see next week

For R I did Rings and the Ramones :)

Most informative. I like a couple of rye beers/rye wine every now and then. An acquired taste.

Love the way the red strikes my eyes. But then everything is very striking. Lovely composition.

Rocket to Russia. Effin' love The Ramones. Hey ho! Let's go! Love your rings, esp. cats - roaaaarrrrr!
