Ah ha ha! This is my recipe. It's very forgiving if i don't have exact amounts (or, indeed, exact ingredients):

Coupla pounds of ground beef. Ish. (1 1/2 - 2 1/2)
1 egg
1 envelope onion soup mix or similar
1 cup ketchup/tomato sauce**
1 cup Italian bread crumbs/crackers

Mix by hand ~~> in large bowl (I don't know why, it's just tradition. ). Bake uncovered at 350* for about 75 minutes. I don't use a loaf pan, i use a regular rectanglular baking dish.




**I suppose you could use enchilada sauce in a pinch, but I've never tried it.
