Impeachment Thread

Any prediction about what is going to happen to him? I could not care less about the guy. Just curious what you think comes next. He’s not a member of the administration, so he can’t be pushed out. I suppose Trump could drop him as one of his personal attorneys.

He's in about the same position as Roger Stone was. Stone got convictions on all counts and prison time. And maybe will get a pardon (which can only be given by accepting you were guilty).

Senator McConnell squashed Pelsosi’s impeachment articles gambit today. Acquittal, dismissal, or no abandonment scenarios remain on track.

So does growing public knowledge that he's guilty and the Republicans in Congress are covering up a guilt that history will be quite clear about. The kicker here is that both Trump and the Republicans are screwed in history. And there's nothing you Trumpettes can do about it. The fact of impeachment, which has already happened, focuses attention on the circumstances. And the circumstances, in history, are obvious. He's guilty of obstruction of Congress by the obvious record of stonewalling Congress on their right/responsibility to oversee and he's guilty on the Ukraine business by all that he and his cohorts have admitted to and by the record, which is self-evident, and still building. And, again, there's nothing Trump or you Trumpettes can do about history.

I don't think the House is even through with impeachment action--and there's no double jeopardy on impeachment. He may survive in the present, but he's screwed in history--and he obviously recognizes that and doesn't like it one bit. He's going down as the worst president in history. And no dissembling you Trumpettes try to do is going to change that. :)

His family's going to have to change names again as they did before to try to get rid of the stench of draft dodging in Germany and brothel running in Canada.

I think Rudy will go down for Election fraud of some sort. As a former prosecutor he probably has walked a fine line but his Chucklefucking minions will drag him into their mess.:)

#929 - So you’re predicting felony conviction.

#930 - Got it. Trump will have to live with a 100% partisan impeachment and in the history books. Brutal. Last impeached guy left office beloved by large majorities in his party and made a fortune giving speeches. Trump and will be damned to a similar fate.

Impeachment won't stain President Trump nearly as much as it stains the Democrat Party that ran such a farce.

Bullshit. That's not true just because it suits your agenda. Clinton left marginalized by his party and pretty much everyone else. All former presidents can make a fortune from writing and speaking. Having dark clouds over them only adds to the fee they can take down. Nixon made a fortune after resigning.

And the dark cloud over a guy who got a blow job from an adult woman and lying about it isn't anywhere close to the darkness of a cloud over a scumbag who is a corrupt, criminal, treasonous, crazy, congenital lying, racist, sexist, rapist, society-destroying, child kidnapping and torturing, murder complicit, Nazi piece of shit.

This is you Trumpettes trying to dissemble from what history's doing to your guy and you can't do a damn thing about it. You can't do anything about having come out from underneath your rocks, thinking that you could reveal how much you are like Trump yourselves, and having the spotlight beamed on you either. :D

haha I guess you won't be one of the 100,000,000 Americans voting to re-elect PRESIDENT TRUMP in November?

Through the arcane rules of election campaigns, Trump rallies cost nothing to attend. We will see what happens to his attendance numbers once they have to pay admission.

Nonsense. According to Gallup, (as of December, 2017, their most recent poll) 76% of Democrats have a favorable opinion of Clinton.

In 2012, his keynote speech was the highlight of the Democratic convention, prompting President Obama to gush that he should be appointed “Secretary of Explaining Stuff.” His popularity peaked that year when 69% of ALL Americans had a favorable opinion of him.

According to Gallup, “his ratings began to fall after that, particularly after he began actively campaigning to support his wife's presidential campaign.”

I think we can safely assume Melania won’t be running for office in Trump’s lifetime, and in the unlikely event that she does, she won’t carry as much baggage as Hillary. Like Bill Clinton, Trump will have to find a way to live with remaining popular among his base and accepting the big bucks that former presidents earn for giving speeches. And you’ll have find comfort knowing that House Democrats impeached him.

No president gets rich giving speeches while campaigning and serving in office. Surprised you didn’t know that.

Cite the source, please, and this doesn't mean much. In terms of impeachable offenses, it's easy for 76 percent of anyone to look at Clinton and Trump and decide Clinton isn't so bad.

Your reference to Melania running for president shows how ignorant you are about all of this. Melania is foreign born to foreign nationals. She can't run for president in the United States. Remember: Melania is a Slovenian whore who falsely claimed she had a university architecture degree and came to the States under a falsely granted "genius" visa exception to be a whore in the United States. (I don't hold that against her. This is a porn site, and she's done what she has to to survive the chaos that was in Slovenia at the time and to use what talents she has in the States to live comfortably. But she ain't an architect or qualifying for the visa she came here under, and she's foreign born, so she can never run for president here. But you're too dumb to know that.)

It's been over twenty years since Bill Clinton was impeached. After he left the White House, pretty much everybody that he (and Hillary) ever campaigned for elective office LOST their race! The exact same thing is true of Barack & Michelle Obama! People say they're both still popular, but everybody they campaign for (including Hillary Clinton) gets beat!

The biggest difference between the Trump & Clinton impeachments is that Bill's impeachment vote was BI-PARTISAN, with congressmen from BOTH parties voting to impeach him - whereas President Trump's impeachment was a purely PARTISAN affair, run entirely by Democrats, for Democrats!

Also, after Bill Clinton was impeached, the House of Representative IMMEDIATELY forwarded the articles of impeachment over to the U.S. Senate without a moment's hesitation. That didn't happen this time! The House has come to the belated realization that they haven't got a case (because they DON'T!)

Trump judge asks House why they can’t send Sergeant at Arms into the DOJ with a gun for documents

A strange exchange erupted between the U.S. House counsel and a federal judge appointed by Donald Trump Friday over the subpoenaed documents from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and the convened grand jury.

Trump has demanded none of his staff or appointees comply with Congressional subpoenas on impeachment and refuse to give documents requested by the committees. Understandably, the House took the case to court, appearing before Trump appointee Judge Neomi Rao.

The last available option to Congress, House General Counsel Doug Letter said, would be to dispatch the Sergeant at Arms to march into the Justice Department with guns blazing.

Judge Rao: “So you do have some methods of self-help that don’t require this court to intervein?”

Letter: “Absolutely. We can send the Sergeant at Arms, and he can go have a gun battle with –”

Judge Rao: “Why not avail yourself of that remedy?”

Letter: “The reason is obvious.”

Judge Rao: “Why is it obvious?”

Well, it's awful noisy for one!

:D

Time will tell, won’t it. What you claim as a farce others see as a duty to the constitution while members of the party of the president were too politically scared to uphold their sworn responsibilities and obligations. If McConnell does as he has said with the trial that is exactly how history will view it.

Exactly right - for impeachment to actually mean anything (other than a purely-partisan ploy for attention), the House Democrats are eventually going to HAVE to forward their articles of impeachment to the U.S. Senate!

They CAN'T prosecute President Trump for his alleged "crimes & misdemeanors" without doing that - otherwise, impeachment is an empty gesture!

So, yes - time will tell - and once the U.S. Senate takes over and reviews the case made by the House Democrats, EACH U.S. Senator will get a vote, including even those five Democratic Party U.S. Senators currently running for president against Trump's re-election (HARDLY impartial jurors!)

If the Democratic Party trusts our U.S. Constitution, they will allow our system to work - otherwise, they'll be signalling to the voters that they OPPOSE our nation's current system of laws & government! As you've pointed out: "time will tell!"

I’ll go out on a limb here and predict that Speaker Pelosi hands over the articles of impeachment next week. Bet the farm.

Looks like House Council just got told to kick rocks...good.

Or, they have been advised by a Court to go ahead and send the Sergeant at Arms in to take the records and tell the DOJ to suck eggs! Make the DOJ assault the forces of the Congress and breach the peace in support of the lawless PeeResident and his little dog too!:)

Indicted Giuliani associate Lev Parnas begins process of sharing evidence with House committee

Lev Parnas, an associate of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, has reportedly begun the process of sharing information with the House Intelligence Committee.

In October, federal judge J. Paul Oetken authorized Parnas to provide evidence from prosecutors to the committee. This includes the contents of an iPhone confiscated during his arrest.

Politico’s Kyle Cheney reported on Monday that Parnas has begun the process of sharing evidence with the House committee.
