Well we know it is a busy time for me. Today at work, on my to do list besides work is register my new animals microchips, address my son's birthday party invitations, design my christmas cards, design christmas calendars, and maybe get to this years family photobooks.

We did go to the animal shelter Saturday. Didn't find a dog that we all could agree on (honestly only one dog stood a chance at being able to integrate but hubby and kid weren't feeling him). We did get two cats though.

this is the one my son picked. sweet kitten. she was the most outgoing, honestly demanding, one there hence him picking her.

of course every time I sit or lay down, she is trying to sleep on boobs while nuzzling my hair. she prefers the table boobs created by the bra though (she is not much over 2 lbs so yeah she can sleep on the shelf quite securely.

and we also took home an adult, because seemed appropriate if taking a kitten.

cats rock. I actually cured a friend of cat allergies. Back when I lived in a one bedroom and had 6 cats. Well, my friend used to like to come over all the time, but he was allergic to cats. At first it would get to him fast, but day after day, he would come back, and it bothered him less and less. He is now married to a veterinarian with a menagerie of animals including cats and dogs. So yeah, he can thank me lol.

Finding an animal companion was probably one of the more enjoyable things I've done in life, I sometimes feel. Walk into the animal shelter, sit down in the room full of felines, put out positive vibes, take home the first kitty who offered heartfelt affection. If only finding human companions was that easy!

I spent many of hours at the shelter. Volunteered 2 days a week for years. Though part of the difficulty with people might be the duration. Animals, sad as it may be, are on a limited clock. people, well decade after decade after decade.

Pretty close. If they squat the rear 6 inches or so, and add a trash can sized faux exhaust outlet dumped behind the rear axle and a set of train horns, it'd be a veritable Polk County mascot.
