What Are You Thinking? Continued 5

I’m wondering if there is any brand of phone that doesn’t make phones obsolete every five minutes through updates??

I’ve been researching online, and people are complaining they’ve “only” had the model of iPhone I’m thinking of getting today for three years.... tried contacting Apple to discuss their updates and lifespan of the phone if I buy it today, and they were useless

^ I have luck with Samsung. I've had my one phone going on 5 years now. It still has no problems. I voluntarily updated it 2 years ago, but my old one is still fully functional. I had the galaxy note. I'm now using the J7 Core. It does everything I need. The only annoying bit is the plug in Jack which has to be replaced every 2 years or so, along with the battery.
Next time I'm getting one with wireless charging... but aside from that Samsung is really reliable imho.

I had an iPhone 5 from the time they were first released and used it daily until last year when I upgraded to an 8. The 5 is still functional and is used for travel and other uses.

I really need a phone that doesn’t incur additional costs along the way. I was given a free, second hand 4s three years ago, but I’m losing more and more apps as they become incompatible with older software. I’ve been reading up on how long the 6s and 7 will be supported, but the information differs, depending where I read it! I contacted Apple and they said I would have to ask the sales team. But the sales team will only discuss the ones they sell currently, which is the 8 and up. I can’t afford that. I could get the 6s right now, a 7 if I push and budget. I’m really starting to lose hope when it comes to phones.

I’ve never put hundreds of pounds into a phone before, so I’m not enjoying this decision at all

As cameras have become of much higher quality and availability, paranormal photos seem to be disappearing.

I know someone who has the 5, but technically it became obsolete with the introduction of iOS 13, and will soon start dropping apps, like the 4s is doing :(

Well, the 5 became obsolete with the introduction of iOS 12, IIRC and while it didn't "drop" apps, they weren't updated. The issue is that it becomes a security problem, and is the reason I upgraded.

It will start losing apps at some point, as they are updated to work with all the newer updates that come out. I can no longer check emails, certain messaging apps or access online banking on my phone. Security isn’t an issue with the current phone, as it’s so old I don’t connect it to anything, and have no personal data on it, but it would be an issue with a new phone as I would be able to do more with it, until it becomes obsolete also.

I was originally told I could use certain discounts to buy a phone, which influenced my decision, but turned out to be false information, so now I’m back at square one.

Bacon or sausage? Sausage or bacon? Why not both? And you, my enlarged heart and clogged arteries, can just shut the fuck up. This isn't about your petty concerns! The taste buds have spoken!

Here I was "tamale or taco" for breakfast...you've added another dimension. Back to the drawing board.

(Both...have both)
(Not that I'm trying to kill you or anything of that sort!) 😂

you must have exerted so much energy with that response. You should lay down and take a now. You have earned it.
