███████████ Impeachment Proceedings On Donald Trump ███████████

This thread don't mean shit. The impeachment battle is being won in real life.

Yes, Fox News and Mitch will probably get your cult leader off the hook in the subsequent Senate trial, but this bastard will be impeached, no matter how much armchair legalism takes place on the porn board.

And he'll go down in history with the stigma of having been impeached. And the farther we get away from this period, the more it will be accepted by people that he deserved to be removed. As openly and in-your-face as Trump has been corrupt, criminal, and traitorous, it's a given that history will increasingly see that he was and treat his legacy thusly (and regard his descendants with that stigma). Karma's a bitch.

And when the historians are finished with the corrupt Trump clan, Harding, Nixon, Buchanan et al, will in comparison be cast as a host of ministering angels. :)

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has quietly released more than $100 million in military assistance to Lebanon after months of unexplained delay that led some lawmakers to compare it to the aid for Ukraine at the center of the impeachment inquiry.

The $105 million in Foreign Military Financing funds for the Lebanese Armed Forces was released just before the Thanksgiving holiday and lawmakers were notified of the step on Monday, according to two congressional staffers and an administration official.

All three spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly to the matter.

The money had languished in limbo at the Office of Management and Budget since September although it had already won congressional approval and had overwhelming support from the Pentagon, State Department and National Security Council. The White House has yet to offer any explanation for the delay despite repeated queries from Congress.

Lawmakers such as Rep. Eliot Engel, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., had pressed the administration since October to either release the funds or explain why it was being withheld. The State Department had notified Congress on Sept. 5 that the money would be spent.

Yep, and if Trump survives to be a former president, the "Best-to-worst" president lists are almost guaranteed to list him last, and that will drive him nuts. :D

I descend from one of McCarthy's henchmen in the Senate, and I can attest that the Trump kids and grandchildren are guaranteed to live their lives under a black cloud they'll never be able to live down.

So, I take it Lebanon not getting this aid supported Russian foreign policy(?)

Judge lifts stay on Don McGahn impeachment testimony

Dec. 3 (UPI) -- A federal judge has ruled against the Department of Justice's request for a long-term stay on a subpoena for former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify in impeachment proceedings.

The WH will request the SCOTUS hear the matter and reimpose the stay. They will do so because of the very important separation of powers and Exec Privilege issues that are in play.

This goes no where despite it sounding good for the D's.

Democrats' impeachment report cites Trump obstruction and withholding aid, warns of 'grave harm'

"No other President has flouted the Constitution and power of Congress to conduct oversight to this extent," the report said.

WASHINGTON — The Democratic-led House Intelligence Committee released a report Tuesday containing a summary of the evidence it has collected in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

The 300-page report cited two instances of improper conduct: obstruction of the House inquiry and withholding an official White House meeting and military aid from Ukraine on the condition of investigating a Trump political rival.

Holy crap!

300 pages to outline the fact that the House is throwing a temper tantrum over the WH not producing documents or witnesses because there's a legitimate question as to whether the House can have what they're demanding?

And the second charge is bullshit. Trump didn't request that Ukraine investigate 2020 Presidential candidate Joe Biden. He requested that Ukraine investigate CORRUPTION BY THE THEN VICE PRESIDENT.

THAT is what has the D's panties all twisted and bunched? To the point it takes 300 pages to say it?

OMG, we're doomed...

Devin Nunes spoke on the phone with Giuliani and his associates during Ukraine operation, House Intelligence report reveals
The Week | Tue Dec 03, 2019 19:56 UTC

The Democrats' House Intelligence Committee impeachment report is out and a familiar face makes an appearance among its contents. In one of the report's only examples of brand new information, call logs showed Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the top ...

What does Nunez's conversations have to do with any claimed "illegal conduct" by Trump?

Nunez isn't Trump. Nor is Nunez the President. Thus, including this information does nothing to advance the actual claims and is intended to do exactly what it has done - rope in the gullible who've already formed an opinion that Trump is guilty of something, even if they can't say exactly what or produce any evidence of it.

The Republicans want Schiff to testify in the impeachment trial. I want Nunes to testify. How about both? :D

Your last two posts make it sound like you're getting a little worked up. :)

BTW, the man's name is spelled Nunes.

Deep breaths!

Looks like this report on another failed "investigation" has had as much impact as the Mueller report and Rory's associated, failed thread on that other, breathlessly overhyped, nothingburger.

Even if you believe that, he had no right to withold the aid OR leverage official acts for that purpose.

If all this was was an innocent request for an investigation into "corruption," why didn't Trump pass that along to the US Team there already? All he had to do was make a call to the US embassy or pass the word on to Mike Pompeo to include it in the ongoing work on "corruption" in Ukraine. Why did he hold the US aid hostage?

As for the WH not producing witnesses or documents, go look up something called Watergate. WHIle you're at it, go read Que's posts on Obama and Eric Holder.

Yes, Harpy is a willful dumb bunny. Don't know who he thinks he's fooling, but the impeachment is going to roll right along right down into history. Trump is going live in the dirt of history whether he's removed or not. And if he survives the presidency, the indictments are building up that will send him either to the federal pen or into the arms of his controller in Moscow. :)
