IG Report on FISA Abuses by Obama Administration Will Disappoint the Right

So far the only thing I'm disappointed about is Horowitz has no prosecutorial authority and he can't investigate anyone who has already left the government. That Durham's job. Horowitz will find fault and make recommendations and referrals to the DOJ. Durham in conducting the criminal investigation and he isn't bound to the limitations of the IG's report

he will WHITEWASH!

as I have said all along

I haven't seen it or read it. We're told it's more than 500 pages. Experience tells me it doesn't take 500 pages to say, all is well. But Horowitz does come from the Deep State he's investigating. So there is that. I think Barr is smart enough to know that whitewashing what is "known to the public" to have happened would be a big mistake politically and wouldn't comport with the words he so eloquently spoke here, it is well worth the time:

Here is only a small part of what he addressed, but because he did so it's hard to believe he isn't going to seek out and address any law breaking or conspiracy that may have occurred in the :

"Immediately after President Trump won election, opponents inaugurated what they called “The Resistance,” and they rallied around an explicit strategy of using every tool and maneuver to sabotage the functioning of the Executive Branch and his Administration. Now, “resistance” is the language used to describe insurgency against rule imposed by an occupying military power. It obviously connotes -- It obviously connotes that the government is not legitimate. This is a very dangerous -- and indeed incendiary -- notion to import into the politics of a democratic republic. What it means is that, instead of viewing themselves as the “loyal opposition,” as opposing parties have done in this country for over 200 years, they essentially see themselves as engaged in a war to cripple, by any means necessary, a duly elected government."

It's going to be an interesting display of tension between admitting facts of criminal behavior and denying prosecutions for the miscreants.

I'm beginning to believe that the only one(s) who will benefit from it are those who went to prison because the FBI and DOJ railroaded them. Once all the hoopla quiets down, the IG report will be buried and things will return to normal.

If it is decided that pleas and convictions were "fruit of a poisoned tree" and all charges and penalties thrown out, that would be a significant victory in itself; but because that same tree has thrown the nation into political chaos, sabotaged three years of a Presidential administration costing the taxpayer untold millions, exposed a blatant assault on the voting franchise of Americans and serious injury to the Constitution itself, I think something a little more serious needs to happen to the perpetrators in order for trust in the federal bureaucracy can be restored. Just my opinion.

Moral is never restored after a mole hunt.

I would LIKE to give them an example of what HIGH crimes and misdemeanors really mean!

I get the impression were being conditioned for a big disappointment.

It could be.

It could also be an attempt to deflect from the upcoming report's findings. We will not know until Dec 9, if then.

As Sen. Grassley recently tweeted: "Don't give me predictions on WHEN the report is due released, tell me IF there's even a report."

It will b a whitewash

The only ones that may go down

Will be 3 little guys

Remember this was a leak to the WaPo and CNN, typical of recent deep state types, but not typical of Horowitz or his staff. It was probably leaked by someone who is named in the report who is trying to get out in front of the release in time to make up some deflection or excuses.

Well if we're talking bribery and extortion, we could give them the real example of Biden's boastful account of his own high crime in Ukraine.;)

Well we know now from Lindsey Graham's comments that Horowitz will be testifying before his committee on the FISA Report on December the 11th and then telling Hannity the Report itself will be released on Monday the 9th, two days before.

Not me, Horowitz has always been a weak spot. But it doesn't matter how much Horowitz tries to soften things up. You see, Durham will have access to the unredacted report and ALL of the source material. Further Durham can go after anyone he wants with or without the IG's blessing and Horowitz has compiled ALL of that reference material for Durham to work with. None of the players in the DOJ better by giving a sigh of relief yet because the IG report is the beginning, not the end.

What bothers me is the fact Horowitz referred Comey to the DOJ for criminal prosecution and the DOJ didn’t take up the case?

That Michael Caputo 🇺🇸🇺🇦 @MichaelRCaputo
3m
Replying to @JackPosobiec
My attorney sent evidence to Horowitz, who never replied.

Durham did though.

I never expected anything out of the IG. I have an informed opinion on who’s really investigating.

Well, he is not a prosecutor and he is a creature of the very deep state he's asked to investigate.

The echo has to being somewhere

The fake news has already started the chant: "Nothing in the report. Go back to sleep. Nothing in the report. Go back to sleep. Nothing in the report. Go back to sleep." Kind of like: "These are not the droids we are looking for."

So the report is not out but I have already seen the fake news saying: "Nothing in the report. Go back to sleep." Last night my husband and I were talking about it and he said that any moment someone on Lit would be posting a thread saying: "Nothing in the report. Go back to sleep."

Of course the report will be attacked by swamp creatures and make no mistake about it they will lie and twist all they can. They are deeply entrenched. There is no slam dunk with these monsters and like any good monster movie it is always a mistake to turn your back on the "dead" monster because they often spring up and resume their attack.

Even 8 years of a strong man like Trump pounding stakes in their hearts will not kill these beasts. But they are not immortal either.

If the last three years has proved anything it certainly has proved the conversion of mainstream journalism into Democrat propagandism. It has exposed the Deep State as an unlawful conspiracy of resistance to reverse the election of 2016. It has uncovered real crimes in the furtherance of their resistance. It has proved the media as incompetent in its duty to inform the public in a fair and truthful manner. They have proved their contempt for the Constitution, the American people, and the sanctity of our election process.

And the impeachment of Trump will disappoint the left. It's a double disappointment!

Historic accomplishment

The above would not have happened without Trump. Historians would look back on this era and realize how filthy and corrupt DC had become and the fake news outlets and putting a spot light on it would be one of many historic accomplishments that would be added to Trump's record.

Putting a hand full of swamp creatures in prison would be frosting on such a cake but in reality exposing the corruption to the average guy on the street is far more powerful. Cancer treatment begins AFTER the cancer has been detected. So, Trump has already exposed the brain scan results of the swamp creatures.
