It’s been I think two years since the craigslist personals disappeared. This was a regular source of satisfaction for me. Either posting ads for what I wanted in that particular day, or trawling posts to see if someone was offering what I was looking for. What are you guys using today? Any good substitutes? This has been a pretty good experience so far but not too many meets as I’m a long way away from many of you. Look forward to hearing your responses.

I liked CL mostly for the amusement factor of it but I did have some success in finding hookups. There are a number of specific sites out there for what you like, and there's always fetlife, but just a "normal" hookup? Haven't found anything good to be honest.

So far, reddit has been the closest I've found, but my own interests and desires have morphed over the years, that in many ways it's a blessing for me the temptation of an easy hook-up via cl is no longer a few clicks away (not that it was ever that easy, given it was taken over by spam and bots, but with patience there were some amazing connections to be had).

dating apps like tinder are a cesspool of idiocy and other regular dating sites (match, pof) don't quite attract the hook-up types, it isn't easy. Whatsyourprice had some benefits (literally and figuratively! ), but just not my thing.

The weird thing is that Tinder went from being a low key hookup site to basically a mainstream dating/social media site. Like 7 years ago if you were on Tinder you knew everyone else on there was there to hookup. Now it's just sort of like a meet and greet site and hooking up isn't necessarily implied.

Millennials ruin everything.

I used to use adam4adam with a bit it of success. There were a lot of black guys on there back then.
