Ok as a woman I will concur on one thing here... change is a magical element. I got so bored with my SO, no surprises, same time of day, same position, just yawn!
I need the unpredictable sex sessions, slam me up against a wall, grab me in the kitchen and put me on the counter or bend me over, make out with me in front of the TV, nail me in the yard.
I think you get the picture guys....
So yes I do agree totally with this one thing, the rest is too generalized.
And the good news for me is Canadagets this need completely
I agree 100% with you. Over the years I tried to get my wife to explore and try new things in sexually, talk about her fantasies, etc. Well she said that she had no fantasies and our sex life became more and more vanilla by her choice before she decided no more sex. So I think it plays for both sides.

Reducing debt by "a lot" is a good thing.
I dont want to get ambushed for saying this but sometimes, it seems like the other person is not very savvy and yet still get mad...kinda unreasonable.
The same way they dont give sex, yet they still throw their weight around.

My wife has some issues with anger, I mean she sees red white she gets upset... puts holes in the walls on occasion, locked me out of the house several times. It's a huge turn-off, an feel like I deserve better. I mustered my courage and just told her she has a month to at least show she is addressing it. She was less than receptive at first so who knows where this is going.

I’m finding myself increasingly in the same situation, although I had already lost interest. Mine was “chipped away” over time by his lack of interest and then his refusal to do anything of the things I enjoy, which includes oral either way. He is totally vanilla, I am totally not. Apparently he lied to me to get the ring on my finger and me tied to him.
Increasingly my new problem is him flying off the handle with me at pretty much anything he doesn’t like even slightly. I find myself just staring at him as he shouts at me and then trying to disarm the situation
he’s even yelled at the dog he adores this week, which is actually a new level of anger.I’ve also changed a lot during our marriage and apparently he prefers the old me, go figure. Anyway there’s no going back I’m certain now, we’ve done counseling etc
I hope you find a way forward and yes you’ve found the right place for understanding and support in here.

Anger is a sign that he or she is still emotionally involved.
Sometime, you got to weather the storm to enjoy the rainbow! I read that somewhere.

I think what Vitriolhack is pointing out is that a partner who is emotionally “checked out” feels nothing for you and wouldn’t get angry.

I've tried this as well, tried to start a make-out session in the car or come and try to start teasing her in the kitchen. We had done some public type stuff before and I remember the one time with other people on the other side of the room, she had a super hard orgasm and gave me shit for making her hold it in.

Yep. Also, I can relate about what you were receiving until the ring went on the finger.
For me, we were so close to splitting up 7 years ago. She vowed to being how she was the first years of marriage. Worked great for about 3 months. She got pregnant and had a child. Now that we have a child (a needy one at that), she knows that I will not be going anywhere until he is grown. (or things would have to be REALLY bad).
So, I figured since she went back on the deal with me, then I just live my life a little free. Open if something happens to come up. Sometimes things look great, other-times not great. (like something so simple as saying she will not wear lingerie anymore)
