No they don't. Not in a context like this. They typically do so only at the change of administrations, especially when the party control changes too, but even then they only do it on the margin, with showcase positions handed out as political candy. They don't "regularly" change career ambassadors even at the change of control party (and they didn't on the Obama/Trump transition for this particular career ambassador either).

Show the "regular" change of ambassadors in this context. You can't. You are talking out of your ass.
