House Impeachment Hearings

Why do you, Lit's lyingest, lying liar, lie about others lying?

Keith D gets under just about everybody's skin at one time or another (including mine :D ) but he comes out ahead in about 95% of his arguments because he's solid on facts, persistent and a fair bit smarter than most of his opponents.

Annoying ? yes; but pretty damn good at putting a point of view over.

"...You need to recognize that government spending of money and allocation of the resources of society is inherently corrupt. Government spending will always preferentially go to those who have curried the favor and greased the palms of the relevant government functionaries. There is no conceivable collection of anti-bribery laws, or campaign finance laws, that can improve this situation other than a little at the margins. The only significant improvement can come from shrinking the government and letting the private sector expand..."

I can't believe there's more of this shit. It's Friday. No one cares. Aren't Ambassadors patronage jobs? Who's cock did she suck to get that gig?

:cool:simple terms so that the Swamp Beings will understand: The President sets and conducts foreign policy, not State, not the NSC, not the DOD, not any other alphabet agency.

 He does not have to go through State or NSC to conduct said policy; he does not have to consult with Kent or Taylor or anybody else on Ukraine or any other aspect of foreign policy.

Only a Deplorable would hold such a simple-minded and misogynistic view of this Ambassador.

One Tweet that says it all and explains what the hearings are all about.

"The first public impeachment hearing against Donald Trump laid out how a handful of loyalists led by Rudy Giuliani wrested control of US Policy from seasoned diplomats" - Bloomberg Business.

Just think about that for a minute or two. Absolutely amazing.

It means that when Trump wanted to use withholding taxpayer money to extort a favor from the Ukraine president that would benefit him politically he had to find a way to operate outside of normal channels or risk being caught and impeached.

ETA: And he needed a handful of "loyal" (sic) unAmerican criminals to do it.

Amb. Yovanovitch admits she has no first hand knowledge of Trump/Zelensky phone call & no first hand knowledge about the Trump admin withholding aid.

So why is she here then?

Your "extortion" talking point is so last week. Don't you know that the word of the day for this week is "bribery"?

To whine about being fired and to promote the State Department as the real combat heroes of America, the "Point of the spear," she meant to say the umbrella.

Tactical nuke lands on another main Democrat talking point:

U.S. envoy Sondland did not link Biden probe to aid: Ukraine minister

KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said on Thursday that U.S. ambassador Gordon Sondland did not explicitly link military aid to Kiev with opening an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Interfax Ukraine reported.

Trump and his allies are accused by Democrat opponents of freezing nearly $400 million in security aid to Ukraine to pressure President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to open investigations into Biden, Trump’s main rival for the 2020 presidential race.

Trump calls the inquiry a witch hunt.

“Ambassador Sondland did not tell us, and certainly did not tell me, about a connection between the assistance and the investigations. You should ask him,” Prystaiko said about Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union.

Prystaiko’s comments came a day after William Taylor, the acting ambassador to Ukraine, testified in the first televised hearing of the impeachment inquiry.

I would have said something equally offensive if the ambassador was a dude.

So, you still feel that her 33 years in the foreign service was nothing more than a patronage award granted for sucking someone's cock.

You are indeed a slimy human being and worthy of the label Deplorable. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Hand her a tissue and remind her Presidents "regularly" dismiss sitting Ambassadors and replace them with his own...regularly. Because you see it's his foreign policy, not theirs. It's his confidence in a subordinate officer that has to be satisfied.

But his motives can be looked into.

Or is POTUS completely above oversight and the law?

Be careful how you answer because it will apply to all Presidents.
