What Are You Thinking? Continued 5

I promised I wouldn’t start wrapping Christmas gifts before December.

So I’ve been putting gifts into boxes. And taping them shut. And labelling them.

Hey, I’ve kept my promise!

I haven't even started my shopping.

I’m nearly finished :D I start early (around summer) to spread the cost. Starting early also means you catch some great sales! I got a few 70-90% off items. And getting bargains means I can get a few more gifts for each person! I love watching people unwrap things I’ve carefully chosen for them. Or tiny things that I’ve wrapped in multiple layers, so they spend ten minutes unwrapping one gift :D

Last year I did a “pass the parcel” type gift, where there was a gift in each layer. That was fun

There tends to be a degree in overdoing Christmas presents at the house. There have been years when poor communication leads to some serious over-presenting in the house. One particularly egregious year it took two days to unwrap everything.

This year we've decided on one "nice" gift per family member from other family members and stockings. Period. Just so we can relax and spend time together rather than be focused on the gift-giving.

The layered gift sounds fun.

Two days of presents does sound like it would take some of the specialness out of it!

We don’t really celebrate Christmas now that my mum isn’t with us anymore, so I try to make it a little something special for my siblings, by getting special gifts. I don’t get too much, roughly 3-5 presents for each person, a few more for the youngest in the family, as I get her things in sets. This year I’ve collected My Little Pony soft toys for her, and I bought several fun items of stationery. If I accidentally overdo it, I start putting things away for birthdays.

I’m hoping next year to do a more family oriented Christmas. I’m teaching myself DIY to fix the place up, and I’m hoping to do a family feast and games, if everyone feels up to it. I really wanted to do it this year, but I’m still getting the place sorted.

Thinking about having a lengthy conversation this afternoon with a longtime friend who wasn't wearing a bra and noticing for the first time that she seemed to have excellent nipples, which I'd never seen hard before (it's gotten cold outside). I had a sudden, strange urge to tug on them as I left her home, not really even in a lustful way, but because I just thought they looked tasty. Then I realized I was just hungry, so I briefly shook her knee like a pal. She laughed, and I came home to eat. Then I remembered that nipples were where my first meals came from. That was my primary problem.

Just got under the covers, and feeling snug. My scented candle has the room smelling amazing :D

The only thing that could make this even more perfect, would be the company of a certain person.

Oh Lord!:cattail:

There are times when you go from feeling comfortable sending a message to just not knowing if they're welcome. And that really sucks.

There aren't many things more annoying than being in the midst of doing something while listening to music, and having your headphones snag and get ripped out of your ears.

You can do what I do, send one and if they don't answer in a day or two, then I know their not interested.

That's a hard pill to swallow when you've been messaging for awhile. But life is to short to worry about the ones who don't reply and appreciate the ones who do.

There are humans throughout our history that took one for the team and showed us what "foods" are poisonous.
